From America’s beloved storyteller, Barbara Delinsky, comes a classic novel of one lovesick doctor and the woman who makes his heart ache with desire…
As the head of cardiology at New Haven Medical Center, Dr. Robert McCrae knows a lot about the human heart. But it’s not until he spots Heather Cole’s beautiful face at one of his lectures that he realizes how much more he needs to learn. From the moment he sees her, his heart skips a beat—metaphorically speaking—and his pulse rate soars. It turns out that Heather is a local hand-bag designer who’s not just playing doctor; she’s putting her heart on the line. Rob may be the only one who can help. But first she’ll have to trust him—and take a risk on falling in love…
Good suspense, great story- very well told. Worth the money

Barbara Delinsky is one of my favorite authors. However, I had not read anything of hers for a while. After reading this wonderful story, I will definitely start back. Her stories are always so compassionate, touching, and close to home.

I was disappointed in this particular read of Barbara Delinsky's. I've read much better from her & didn't realize this was an older book tho the info says it was published in 2011 or so. It also states it's 250 pages, while in reality it's only 163 pages. Even tho it was only $2.99, I still feel the info stated about these ebooks should be accurate so we know what we're getting. I'll double check these things from now on.

As indicated in the prologue this novel was written when Ms. Delinsky was young and new at writing novels. It reads like that - too predictable. It was pretty dull. I would save my time.
