    Boring, boring, and more boring

This is a slow read. The most crucial element was missing from this book - romance. Where is the romance?? Very disappointed

A lesson learned and valued gain.

Monique Oliver is all that and then some, well at least she thinks so! When the walls of destruction start falling down around her, she makes a decision to head back to small hometown of her mothers and when she arrives, she is faced with a personal crisis that involves her to stay longer than anticipated and also to take over working for her uncle bed and breakfast. Upon arriving to her family home, she decides until she gets herself together and she figures out why life is throwing her curve balls, she swears off men and is going to do some deep soul searching. While men are not in her plans, in walks the handsome Mac.Mac instincts kick in to warn him that Monique is noone he needs to get to know, but she is pleasing to look at. Mac and Monique build a friendship and things are going well, until oneday Monique's suppressed personaility shows up and turns Mac completely off, confirming that his first instincts of her were correct. Even though Mac puts distance between them, he cannot tell his heart to be distant and he finds himself constantly thinking about her. Mac is placed in a position where he has no alternative but to turn to her. They both learn that people and things do change and that you have to have some understanding where others are concerned. Soul searching is not always easy for you or for those around you, but it is necessary. There is a real lesson to learn here. Ms Griffin writes with the mature in mind. This is not your mushy, hop in and out of bed scenes, with decriptive pages of how 2 lovers will get their groove on. In other words this is not a fairy tale story, this is a real life romance, the real way things happen. Mature adults with issues and responsibilities and finding love through it all. You can recommend this story to anyone, a young adult, a Spiritual individual who doesn't want to read the explicit scenes, but also doesn't want to read a church story. Overall a Good story.
