Meet the Author

Pepper Pace writes romance stories with steamy eroticism, humor and warmth. She enjoys writing, as well as reading about unlikely romances and interracial relationships. Her characters are painfully real and just like in reality, sometimes their stories make you cry, sometimes they make you laugh and when Pepper turns up the passion it becomes very steamy!

She has described her stories as ‘out of the box’ because she is intrigued by the unusual. Stories about perfect people offers very little excitement for Pepper, which is why she has woven a world rich with anti-heroes, the insecure, the angry and always redemption.

Pepper lives in Cincinnati Ohio with her teenage son and daughter…as do most of her characters.

Pepper is a popular author on Literotica.com. She is the winner of the 11th Annual Literotica Awards in 2009 for Best Reluctance and best Novels/Novella, as well the August 2009 People's Choice Award. In the 12th Annual Literotica Awards, Pepper Pace won number one writer in the category of Novels/Novella as well as best Interracial story for 2010.

    A Pleasant Surprise

Stranded sucked me in from the first page to the last. The plot and the characters were well developed. The writing is strong and it's always nice not be thrown off by grammer and spelling mistakes. No poorly constructed dialogue to be found here. A rarity in books of this genre.

I really loved how fantastical (not sure if that's a real word) yet realistic this book seemed. Everything the characters did and said on the island seemed right, seemed natural.

A job well done Miss Pace. You, very much like your island, were a discovery!

    Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stranded was a very good read. I was drawn into the plight of Oceans Delano and Marshall Cohen. We watch the relationship between Oceans and Marshall grow from strangers on the plane to partners trying to survive on a remote tropical island. They endure the possibility of never being rescued, of dying of tropical disease and/or being killed by angry boars. They go through the trials of developing a relationship and the growing pains of falling in and briefly out of love. Refreshingly, they don't hop into bed in the first chapter of the book, we have to wait for it. And it is so delicious when they do come together. The story telling is vivid, the characters are human and well developed. You wish the tale would simply go on and on. This is my first story by Ms. Pace, I am looking forward to many more. I am definitely a new fan!

    Loved it!!!

Stranded was a very good read. Only a few authors are able to capture my attention in the first chapter and have me engrossed with the characters and story until the end of the book. This book did that and more. This story was so well written and believable. Ms. Pepper has got a new fan. I read her other book 'Juicy' and that was also an AWESOME read. I highly recommend this read.

    I Also Recommend:

I am fast becoming a fan of Pepper Pace. This is a great surviv

I am fast becoming a fan of Pepper Pace. This is a great survival love story with everyday people who do extordiary things and
love each other.  This is a really sweet romance at it heart. The hero is respectful, admires, and likes the heroine with whom he
finds himself stranded. The heroine also accepts the hero as how he is and is practical  and clever.   I love how they get to know
each other and don't roll round in the sand first thing. There is a bit of culture clash in places because of their different backgrounds. However, mostly thier differences serve to enhance each other and help them survive. It is wonderful message in the book but done in a way that is not heavy handed. The crisis in the book that occur are real and compelling as is how the couple moves through these events.

There are ways in which this book could have become a five star with more character development and a longer HEA where we
see the couple putting back together a new life after the island but the story is very good as it is.

I highly recommend you read this sweet, real, and sexy book.

Good Story from start to finish although in my opinion quite far

Good Story from start to finish although in my opinion quite far fetched as far as being stranded on an island so long. The story of Oceans and Marshall is a entertaining one but you will shake you head at times because some of it is too too fictional for a fiction story it was kind of out there. Overall the story is a likeable one.

    Boring

I have renjoyed every book by this author...until I read Stranded. I understand that both characters are stuck in an island together, but gosh was I bored reading this!

The characters were not appealing and didn't touch me in any way. Throughout the book you read about them waking up gathering food and looking at each other and wondering when they can make love, and this is pretty much it.

What lead me to really know for a fact I didn't like this book is the way both characters all of the suddenly professed their how 'truly and madly in love' or 'i love you so madly!' And how they are the only person they see themselvrs being in love with! Lol, if you are stranded with someone for a year of course you get a little horny and its easy to suddenly fall in love with each other!

To make matters worsy, if the story premise isn't boring enough.... the love scenes are twice as sleep and snore inducing.

My verdict: don't waste your money on this book. Buy other of Ms. P's books like Juicy or Beast or anything else except this one!
