Why bother with stories this short?

I thought this would be a book tie-in to give you details of another book, but it wasn't. Good enough story but disappointing it was this short. The story just gets started and then it's over. I wish these books would indicate how many pages they are before you start. I don't really see the purpose in reading one chapter of a story that doesn't continue further. If you want to read less than 30 pages of a book, then this book is for you. I don't want an appetizer I want the entree. I want to read a book that inspires me to purchase more from the author. I want to be hooked in the first 25 pages and kept in my seat reading more as I anticipate the outcome.

    A very good story

Although short, I really enjoyed this story. I would have enjoyed it more as a full length novel, but I was very surprised at how well it was written.

    Too short

Had potential. It was too short so there was very little character development.

    Good

I wish the book was longer; this felt like just a first chapter sample of a full length novel. The author should expand this novel and write what happens after Alannah goes in the ocean...please.
I really liked this story but it was too short.

    ;)

I think it was a really good short story. I wish Alannah and Orlando had found a way to be together but the ending just made it that much better.

    Sweet, Sad, Lovely Short Story

I hated the end merely because I love happy endings, and this one was bittersweet. I highly recommend everyone and anyone read this novel.

It may be short, but I don't see any fault with that.

Short and sweet - however, I'm wondering if there is a sequel published or coming up.
