Meet the Author

I'm a freelance writer based in Liverpool, UK.A lover of lists, and all things trivial, I found my perfect job when I was 23, writing quiz questions for pub quiz machines. As much as I loved it, sitting in an office for the same 8 hours and fighting murderous traffic twice a day, severely affected my mental state so, in 2001, I went freelance, setting up my own quiz-writing company, The Questionmaster. This gave me the luxury of working my own hours, from home, and also allowed me a chance to start trying to make inroads in my other passion - creative writing. In 2005, I won the 'TenPlay' scriptwriting award for a short play called "The Banner" and, from there, secured my first television commission, writing on the award-winning BBC drama series, "Moving On", created by Jimmy McGovern.I try to explore all genres of writing, from TV, stage and film, to short stories, novels, articles, even erotica. I'm always learning (I don't think that ever changes), but am never happier than when I'm getting backache sat at a laptop all day. When I'm not writing, I'm supporting Liverpool FC, or studying serial killers. Sometimes I get the two mixed up. I'm a little bit allergic to the 21st century, but only because education doesn't seem to be important anymore, 'discipline' is a dirty word, and people in general are just much "noisier". Sitting on a bus for more than 10 minutes, with VERY LOUD, Tourettes-afflicted passengers, is torture for me.If I won the lottery, or had a hit on Smashwords, I'd be able to finally start ticking off some of the things on my Bucket List, most of which include expensive plane journeys. Please help me along!

It was very different but I enjoyed it immensely. Nice and lengthy, a book you can sink your teeth into and have as a companion for a while. Definitely adult writing, I wouldn't recommend it for teens. Another review I read recently stated "This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages." I guess I'm not easily offended. I found it an amusing way to spend my off time. Would definitely read other books by this author. I loved that it was not typical, you had no idea where it was going. Very satisfying.

It's not the best book in the world ,and you constantly get pissed off at the main character!
