    What?

This said about two months ago that the last Night World Book would be out April 26, 2011... now it's not going to be out till Febuary 2014?? What is up with that?? L.J. Smith is annoying me, she took down the thing on her wedsite that said she's still "writing" Strange Fate which makes me think this will NEVER EVER EVER come out. If that's the case, L.J. Smith will be losing a lot of readers, myself incuded! Her readers shouldn't have to wait 10+ years for the last book of a really good series to come out! Didn't these books come out in the 80's??!!! What has L.J. Smith done with all that time in between? Didn't she stop writing her Vampire Diaries books in the 80's too? And didn't start finishing them when the show was made??? Maybe if Night World had a show too this book would be done already! That's a crapy thing to do as an author! Making your readers wait years and years for something. It makes me think if she really even cares about us readers or if she's just trying to stay famous for a few more years.

    The date's are lies!

When I first read the series in 2005 I loved it, and I was told it would come out this year (2010)!!!! Now you have me waiting another year, that means 6 years!!! Plus the original books were published in the 1990's so why the name of Hellewise can't they just tell us the real date!?

    thrilling book

I would recommend this book to any readers who enjoy good action mixed in with romance at the center piece of things whether your into vampires, witches, shapshifters or not. The series had me hooked from the beginning making me turn the pages late into the night. I absloutly cannot wait for this book to come out! I'm sure it will be just as amazing as the other books in the night world series!

I never thought it would come!

The first time that I picked up one of the books from the Night World Series, I knew I was in love. I was probably 14 or 15 when Witchlight came out, and I have waited for Strange Fate ever since. To put into perspective exactly how long I have waited; I was 14 or 15 when I finished Witchlight, I am now 24. I have always remembered the characters from the Night World, and have always hoped that Smith would return to writing. I am thrilled that she has made a come-back with a new printing of all of her series. I highly recommend this series, especially the novel "Soul Mates," as well as her other series. A must read for any young person who is just entering the world of paranormal romances.

    ARGGG!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

This series is reallt good. The story plot is completely unique versus all the other plots out there. I have really enjoyed this series, and would love to know the conclusion now. I know that that last book is going to be really good and I honestly can't wai until April 2010. No lies either! I might honestly have to go insane. I have read the Twilight series and I offer no other comment to it either. I guess in the mentime, i'll just have to search for another series to get hooked onto.

    A Spectacular Series!!

What do you call a society of supernatural beings dwelling among us, yet hidden right before our eyes? Ljane Smith calls it Night World. Long before there was even the idea for Twilight, there was Night World. Night World is her mesmerizing, highly addicting series of young adult fantasy books.....only young adults aren't the only ones hooked. How many authors can write a series of nine books so captivating that her readers are willing to wait and are still salivating for the tenth and final book in the series? Oh yes, many authors write compelling series that hook us, but unlike Ljane they write them pretty close together. Ljane (as she prefers to be called per her website) published the first nine books between 1996-98. Here we are in 2009 and we are still breathlessly waiting. In fact, some of us love her stories so much we have purchased the re-released books (as seen above in Vols 1,2 & 3) and fallen in love with them all over again. Now a decade later there is a whole new group of readers discovering her spellbinding work. Luckily, our wait is almost over as Night World: The Ultimate Fan Guide is being released in late October (with a sneak peek of the first two chapters of the final book, Strange Fate) and Strange Fate is scheduled to be released on April 6, 2010.

Witches, vampires, shapeshifters and other things that go bump in the night do live among us. They are part of Night World and are forbidden from letting us mere humans know they exist and from have relationships with others that are not their specific species. The penalty for breaking these rules is death for all parties involved. But Fate has other plans, creating soulmates that cross those lines. An organization has formed called, Circle Daybreak, that believes the only way for us survive is to all learn to work together and live in harmony. There is a prophecy that says only the Wild Powers can prevent the world from falling into chaos and darkness. Circle Daybreak is committed to finding these four Wild Powers, keeping them safe from Night World and helping them in the coming battle.

This is one of the most captivating series I have read. It definitely gets five out of five and I urge everyone to purchase, check it out from the library or mug a friend who has a copy (not really, but maybe sweet talk them and borrow it.) Everyone who loves fantasy should read these intoxicating stories.

    The Next Twilight?!

The Night World series is now one of my favorites. It just might be tied with Twilight. Similar to the Twilight series, Night World 2 and 3 are just as good as the 1st book. I really can't wait for the fourth book to come out . I also think the names of the characters are very cool.

    Procrastination.

This pisses me off so much. Ever since the vampire diaries took off, L.J smith totally forgot about everything else. She just keeps putting off Strange fate. Fisrt it was 2010, then 2011, now it's not scheduled to be released until 2014. That's procrastination at its worst. Although, Lisa Jane is a wonderful writer, and even though i'm angry about the release date i will probably be the first in line if/when strange fate is released. :)

    What I Think

I think we will never see this book. I mean how long has it been pushed back? And L.J. Smith has other series to do so she isn't too woried about finshing this one. So thanks a lot for leaving it off at the best part and wasting my money for an incomple series!!

Highly Recommended- if it ever comes out

I fell in love with this series when I was in high school and I've been waiting way over 10 years for this book. "Witchlight" came out in like 1998 so who knows when "Strange Fate" will finally come out.

    Grrrrrr! Still Waiting!

There is only one down side to reading this series! L J Smith keeps sending the publishing date for the FINAL book into the oblivion of the night! I have been waiting, stalking the bookstores, hovering over release dates, salivating when we get a date, only to then be told, "It's been moved forward again!" I am beginning to believe that even the newest release date of April 2011 is just another rue! I don't believe anymore that there WILL be a final book! I think she is NOT writing it, and never will finish it, and they keep giving us the dates to keep us reading and buying the old series as well as all her OTHER new books and projects! I have lost my faith in this writer, it's been going on toooo long! I must move on, as I will not continue to hope for April to actually come to fruition! Mark my words, don't be disappointed when the release date draws near and gets bumped again! Yours Truly, A once upon a time fan!

I am so confused and fairly annoyed with all this.

I really wish someone would just put out the official release date for this book that everyone is pulling their hair out over. And if there isnt an official date then take down the dates that so many websites have, because there is a *huge* difference between July 26th 2011 (as Amazon says) and April 2011 (as B&N says). its not that everyone is getting mad because they have been desperately craving this finale, its that everyone is getting insanely aggravated at the fact that the release date isnt consistent and keeps getting pushed further and further back. When will a *real* release date come out, one that is the same on every site and one that people can actually expect to see their book out on? I love this series, i really do but come on! This cant keep happening, can anybody give me an example of another time this has happened and the book finally got released and it still did well? I *highly* doubt it.

Are you ever going to put the last one out?

I like the series so far but Im getting tire of driving all the way to the book store to get the last book and find out the dates been changed again. I would love to read it but Im getting irritated. I mean seriously at least let the readers know if theres a reason or does the author just like playing with our heads and wasting our time and money?

Been waiting for over a year...

This was originally supposed to come out Febuary of '10. She keeps pushing the date out... honestly I think I've forgotten half the stuff that has happened because I've been waiting since December of '09. Good series from what I remember. Going to buy it the day it comes out.
