Meet the Author

James De Mille (1833–1880) was a Canadian academic and rhetorician who published many works of Victorian popular fiction. His best-known work, A Strange Manuscript found in a Copper Cylinder, was serialized posthumously in Harper’s Weekly in 1888.

Started out slow but got better as the tale unfurled. Must like old- time tales. I wanted to know more at the end. More about the "lost" sailor and more about the 4 "Sunday" sailors who found the copper kettle.
