Strangeland

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Greg Prato
Since ex-Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider wrote and starred in the 1998 horror movie Strangeland, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the soundtrack is comprised of 100% heavy metal. By combining already established bands with new groups and mixing unreleased tracks with overlooked album cuts, the soundtrack for Strangeland is easily one of the best heavy metal soundtracks ever released. The majority of Pantera and Marilyn Manson fans will already be familiar with their tracks, "Where You Come From" and "Sweet Tooth," respectively, but there's plenty of rarities you won't find anywhere else. New tracks by Coal Chamber "Not Living", Megadeth "A Secret Place", ...

New tracks by Coal Chamber "Not Living", Megadeth "A Secret Place", Sevendust "Breathe", and dayinthelife a cover of Twisted Sister's "Street Justice" are definite highlights, as is a new track by a re-formed Twisted Sister "Heroes Are Hard to Find". The Strangeland soundtrack gives yet another reason to believe that heavy metal is far from becoming extinct any time soon.

    Ultra-Outstanding

Wow. This CD is incredable. In, addition to being incredable, this cd is also a must have for any metal fan. If you have been a metal fan for a long time, this album is great for you because it offers tracks from some of today's top metal artists that are not available anywhere else. If you are just getting started listening to metal, this album is GREAT for you too because it will introduce you to some really great metal artists and will allow you to get a feel for your own particular metal tasts. This is a great CD!!! Any true metal fan will not pass up the opportunity to get a CD like this one. If you already have the CD, pass the joy along and buy one for someone else. Turning the volume up all the way when this album is playing is also a great way to bug your conservative neighbors. GET IT MUTHA!!!
