Meet the Author

PEGGY CHITTENDEN BROWN received her Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas. She teaches creative writing and humanities at Collin College in Plano, Texas, and has been named the outstanding professor of the college. In 2008, she was named Piper Professor by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation of the State of Texas. She has exhibited photography in regional galleries and published short stories, poetry, and academic articles. Strangler Figs is her first novel; she is now working on her second with the working title of Instincts.
