Excellent advice tool for the starting musician

This book is great, I'm not finished reading it, but so far it has given so much information about how to promote my music. Some of the stuff I already knew, but now that the author points it out is that I find it usefull. Pick up a copy of this book right now, you won't be sorry you did.

    Excellent advice┬┐and a fantastic read!

'Two thumbs up! This book really tells it like it is. Plus, it's entertaining, with biting sarcasm and self-deprecating humour throughout. Gelfand obviously really knows what it's like to battle to get both a following and a deal¿and he delivers with great interviews and lots of solid advice. You can't lose with this book.

    Perfect how-to for struggling musicians

I was lost and now I am found. Absolute genius. Success takes time, but I think this book is going to turn around my career. I thought the same about other books before but this one really spoke to me. I think its because it's clear the writer is like me. There's no mistaking it. It's like he's talking to you the whole time.

    excellent book for real musicians

just what musicians need, an honest colorful tell it like it is explanation of how to promote yourself in the muzak business. anyone who's out there playing knows how hard it is, but Gelfand boils it down to its essence and gives streetfighter's insight into how to make a real go of it. it's already helped me. it's like i already knew this stuff, but reading it this way made me do it with enthusiasm for the first time. i know musicians don't like to read this kind of thing, but if you ever thought you needed help, this is the book for you.
