    Fun Reading

    I hope I'm not at an affair with Hannah, Jessica Fletcher, Dick Van Dyke, and a few others in the same room, I'm leaving because there's sure to be a body! I just happened to see the Apple Pie Mystery, bought the book and have enjoyed it so much I'm always looking for new ones to buy. I don't keep them in my book case, but in my kitchen.     Definitely recommend for light reading

    Love this series...mainly because there is no blood and guts. And especially because it includes fab recipes in each book. Every one I have tried have been excellent. And there is a plot and humor included.

    You will get hooked

    I have read the first two book in the series and I can't wait to read the rest. She keeps you guessing who did it. It's great that she includes the recipes to the desserts that she talks about in the books.

    Hannah Swensen is similar to Stephanie Plum.

    Just Okay for Me

    After reading the first book I wanted to give the author one more chance before I gave up on the series. Book two for me was an improvement over the first book but not enough to bring me back. Perhaps its just me but the main character just rubs me the wrong way at times. I find her more than a bit condescending and suffering from a too high opinion of herself. And the constant cookie solves all ills storyline tiring. Find a dead body eat a cookie, need information from someone pass them a bag of cookies, etc. Its a light easy to keep up with read if you are desperate for something to do.

    Loving Joanne Fluke's Books!

    Interesting but definitely not my favorite...

    I bought this on sale, but to tell the truth I was not that impressed. I don't tend to like sentences starting with conjuctions, just a pet peeve of mine, which the author does quite frequently. Also, there are pieces of information that don't pan out. For example, the main character gives her cat a bowl of vanilla yogurt at one point, but dairy, unfortunately, can be dangerous for cats to digest. As far as the plot goes, I was able to predict the murderer pretty well in advance. If you enjoy that sort of thing I encourage you to read it, as it is mildly entertaining.
