    Potential Rescues Not Always US Dogs

    I loved this book as much as his Shelter Dogs. His photographs and the accompanying text are eloquent in their simplicity and expressiveness, and he manages to elevate 'stray' and 'mutt' to a level of knowing worthy of dignity and respect. The huge numbers of street dogs in Puerto Rico and Mexico, where the photographs were taken, underscore the cultural, financial, and educational aspects of humane dog rescue.
