Overview

"I like Chace as much as I like Elvis Cole!" - Kerry Kilburn

A former detective in San Francisco confronts the serial killer who got away.... and the woman who broke his heart.

In 1985, Peterson Chace was the lead investigator for the Moonstone Murderer Case, a serial killer that held San Francisco in a grip of terror. Moonstone eluded capture and escaped justice in a brutal confrontation on the Golden Gate Bridge, leading Chace into a breakdown and forcing his resignation from the police department.

Three years later, with a new career as a mystery novelist, Chace is drawn back in to the world he left when Moonstone reappears, slaughtering seemingly random victims and holding the city in a grip of fear. As the case progresses, Chace finds himself dealing with Mayor Sarah Westin, an ADA in the original case, and the one woman in his life Chace finds haunting his memory.

In a shattering climax deep in downtown San Francisco, Chace confronts his demons once and for all, and learns that sometimes, the second chance is the one that counts....

    A wonderful read. Highly recommended!

An engaging hero, Chace battles his demons and tries to forget the lost love of his past.
Drawing us into the very human emotions of his life and his vulnerability balanced by the gut instinct of crime solving we are entertained and are taken on satisfying ride to a conclusion that is begging for a sequel.

    Highly Recommended!!

Wow! This was a GREAT read! This book kept me on the edge of my seat as Peterson Chace hunted down the serial killer he thought he'd taken out years ago. But the killings start up again, and it's clear someone is not about to let Chace forget the gruesome case that almost did him in. Now they are playing games, daring Chace to find them. Wonderful characters, great emotional conflicts, a plot that will keep you guessing and an outcome that will leave you breathless! Don't miss this one!

Even romance fans will love it!

I'm a dyed in the wool Romance fan and don't usually read the cops and robbers stuff, but I thoroughly enjoyed STREET HEAT. Mr. Graham gives us insight into a flawed hero; an ex-policeman whose success in solving a gruesome case has come at too high a personal price. In his telling of the tale, Mr. Graham gives us just enough detail so the reader understands how truly evil the killer is, but does not wallow in the blood or pain of the victims. I especially appreciated his light touch here. Can the hero heal enough to love? Will the lady in question give him that chance? Yes, Mr. Graham has given us a love interest! Three cheers for Will Graham and STREET HEAT. It's a great book!

A thriller and so much more.

Once I started Street Heat, I couldn't put it down. Mr. Graham's depiction of Chace, a likely and loveable hero, gives us a man on a mission. A poor cop who literally gives up his life to find a serial murderer. The love story between Chace and Sarah is not only true to life, but adds a depth to Chace's character and the story. And you just have to meet Scraming Jae.she's definitely a character! This story will keep you guessing and looking behind you. To call this book a thriller wouldn't do it justice. It's so much more.
