Meet the Author

Quentin Carter is a 30-year-old native of Kansas City, Missouri. Currently, Quentin is serving a 10 year sentence in federal prison under the harsh crack cocaine law. It was while in prison that Quentin felt inspired to write. His strong characters often reflect his own experience on the streets, and he is an inspiration to other inmates, as well as those on the outside. He is scheduled to be released in 2008. Each of Quentin's titles, Hoodwinked, In Cahootz, Contagious and Amongst Thieves have topped bestseller lists. Stained Cotton is Quentin's fifth novel with Triple Crown, and perhaps the most highly anticipated. In the future, Quentin hopes to grow as an author and become a writer of multiple genres.

Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Keisha Ervin is a prolific writer and devoted mother. Her success has drawn much deserved attention to herself and her hometown. She is the author of the Essence Best-Sellers Chyna Black, Me & My Boyfriend, Mina's Joint and Hold U Down, as well as the novel Torn and the short story ?After the Storm,—featured in the Street Love anthology.

Leo Sullivan is a versatile writer, with Urban Fiction being one of the many genres that he enjoys. In the coming years, Leo hopes to be freed from prison, and looks forward to being a father to his children and a role model to others.

Danielle Santiago is the author of "Grindin'" and founder of Mischievous Girl Foundation, which is dedicated to helping battered women and innercity girls. She lives in Harlem, New York, and Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband and son.

Born in Southeast Washington, D.C and raised in Houston, Texas, T. Styles now resides in Baltimore County, Maryland with her son. She has worked as a massage therapist and is an active participant in dialogues surrounding Health and Wellness.

    The Furious Five

¿Street Love¿ was an excellent read. This book was worthy of every cent. Five talented authors and five intriguing stories. Mo and Quan¿s relationship was adoring, amusing and at times, adolescent all in one. This story certainly placed a smile on my face. I look forward to reading ¿Torn¿. Miss. Keisha, I do believe you've struck gold again. Danielle¿s ¿Allure of the Game¿ was quite good as well. I admired Butta¿s desire to want to shield Arnessa from harm. I could fall in love with this character. Being a ¿snitch¿ has certainly become an explosive topic of discussion in recent years. I enjoyed ¿The Fink¿. I felt that Phelix¿s attempt to redeem himself was commendable. Quentin can write a good story. T. Style's ¿Cold as Ice¿ was entertaining. Pepper¿s foolish antics had me on pins and needles. But I¿d have to say that Leo¿s ¿B-More Love¿ was my ABSOLUTE favorite. I appreciated the development of Jamal and Ashley's romance. It was engaging although I knew their relationship would be plagued with tragedy from the beginning. As far as happy endings, Leo¿s story reigns supreme.

    Question

Is this 5 different stories? Or 5 different characters whose stories intertwines? Is it really worth 15 bucks
