Despite the fact that her boss is a malodorous, temper-tantrum-throwing ogre who works with other non-human species, she manages to keep everything on an even keel. This includes hiding the fact that she writes paranormal romance books at night under a pseudonym, basing her characters on people she’s met through her job.

I was less than enthused by this book, long-winded...in the first person and choppy. Supposed to be a romance and it literally skipped pretty much any details of the romance. Way to long for a book without any feelings attributed. Drew out the "Happy" story too far and yet never really expained why he was exiled/punished, only a supposition. Too bad...the synopsis sounded good. Probably won't get book 2. ¿

I breezed through the story of Amy, enjoying the many adventures and twists along the way. Amy is a sweet personality but will not take BS from anyone. I gotta admit her kitty Fudge is probably my favorite and I can't wait to see how he ties into book 2.
