Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
Strike Eagle is an aviation book for non-aviators and aviators alike. It is a good war story—a good flying story—a great book! . . . I’ve read many books about the Gulf War—this is the best yet.”

“Exceptionally worthwhile reading for those interested in aviation and the Persian Gulf War.”

Strike Eagle by William Smallwood is an exciting book for military fanatics.
I liked how fast-paced it was.
Granted there were some boring parts throughout, overall it was a good read.

Great Book with First Hand Combat Experience

F-15E is the new star of USAF when the 1991 Gulf War starts. They are the latest deep striking aircrafts with new equipment. But most of the people don't know was those aircrafts can only drop two kinds of regular bombs when they were sent to the field. This is a book with great stories and combat experience of the real people and combat. Readers can find how they prepared themselves for more weapon certificed to drop from F-15E, how did they train for combat and what they had to face. There are also chapters of combat missions with exciting description, especially when two pilots down and the SAR squadren didn't want to send anyone to rescue even the squadren has the fix of th eposition. When I started reading thsi book, really hard to put it down. If you want to find a book with the latest war or real experience of new aircraft, this is the one to get.
