Overview

Sparks fly when a society belle and a biker with a troubled past get down and dirty in the Big Easy. Maisey Yates turns up the heat in the sizzling finale of a series co-written with Megan Crane, Rachael Johns, and Jackie Ashenden.

Micah Carpenter hates New Orleans. Hell, after ten years he no longer has much affection for the Deacons of Bourbon Street motorcycle club, either. But when the brotherhood calls, Micah answers. Joining the hunt for their mentor’s killer, he crosses paths with a Southern belle who exudes class—and sex appeal. Micah knows better than to mess with ice princesses: No matter how hot things get, they never melt. And yet he can’t stop himself from offering her a taste of the wrong side of the tracks.

Sarah Delacroix understands that reputation is everything. The daughter of a prominent family rocked by scandal, she’s desperate to restore their good name. Micah’s exactly the kind of man she should be avoiding. Behind his sleek and sophisticated exterior beats the heart of a predator—and she knows it. But, like the tattoos beneath his tailored suit, his rough edges are irresistible. And all too soon Sarah finds him getting under her skin . . . and living out every one of her hottest fantasies.

The final installment of the Deacons of Bourbon Street was the perfect ending to the series. I have enjoyed all the books in this series but have to say this one is by far my favorite. Micah didn’t want to come back to New Orleans but he owed is to Priest after saving him when he was younger. He came back for only one reason, find out who killed Priest and make them pay. He never intended on staying permanently. Sarah is a traditional southern bell who grew up in a wealthy family where image was considered everything. After learning that her fiancé’ cheated on here she ended her engagement which did not sit well with her family. Micah’s search for information on Priest death leads him to Sarah and there is an instant sexual tension between the two. They both fight their attraction but in the end they help each other find themselves and it is beautiful. Micah is a tough alpha biker but with Sarah we get to see the softer side, the side he only shows to her. I have really enjoyed the series and hate to see it end but the ending was done fabulously. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

I am usually a big fan of Maisey Yates, but Strip You Bare wasn't my cup of tea. I don't usually read MC romance, but was willing to give this one a chance because I normally love this author. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect with the characters and found it very difficult to finish this novel. I didn't understand how the main character Micah "Prince" Carpenter left and then rejoined the club. I didn't really like main character Sarah and wish she wasn't quite so perfect? If you enjoyed the first 3 books in the series you will probably enjoy this book too. I was given a free copy for an honest review by netgalley.com

Final installment in the Deacons of Bourbon Street series, and it did not disappoint. Just like its predecessors this book was action packed and full of mysteries, only this time we finally know what happened and I gotta say I did not see it coming. Throughout the books in the series the authors painted a broad picture of what is like to belong in a MC and what it means for the ones involved, it’s very interesting to me to read about this world, especially the sense of loyalty that they have in each member, we got to know these men from the club and learn a little bit about them growing up in the MC and their lives as adults, this time we have Prince, I think out of lo of them he was the most resilient to come back to the world and that’s why it was a book that I was looking forward to reading, I knew if there was one thing that could get him to stay it was going to be love so I was really excited to see who was going to make that happen. The relationship between Prince and Sarah was super electric! There were sparks all over the place and the way they complemented each other was perfect, there were also some funny moments that made the book a bit lighter. The ending as I said completely surprised me and that’s saying something because I’m one of those people that can see plot twists coming from books back and this time I didn’t. Definitely sad to see this series end, great job from Maisey and every other author involved.

*ARC received from Random House Publishing in return for an honest review* The thing I dislike about most motorcycle club romances is the disregard for human life, lack of conscience, and their debasement of women, viewing them as property or as being of no consequence other than as sexual objects. Strip You Bare is guilty of some of these things, mainly by the character of Ajax. His is the first and only story I have not read in the Deacons of Bourbon Street series and although I might have a different impression of him after I read the book, right now the only thing I have to go by is the comments his character continually makes. Despite this, I did like the rest of this series a lot, not only because of the individual romances, but because of the murder mystery. Finally we have answers. The who and the why behind the murder of Priest, the president of the club, is revealed as are the events of the long ago night, which resulted in key members of the club being banished. The answers are surprising but the story is well-thought-out. Sarah and Micah together are on fire. This book is a great finale to the series.

Strip You Bare I was provided an early copy of this book by ' Loveswept and NetGalley' for an honest review. This being the last "Deacons of Bourbon Street" is the best one yet. Micah "Prince" Carpenter has the duty of finding out what Sarah Delacroix knows about the murder of Priest. What he didn't expect was the attraction to Sarah. Will his secrets destroy any chances for them to be happy. Must read!!!!

I really like this book! I have enjoyed this entire series but STRIP ME BARE is my favorite and a fitting end to the series. And I've got to say that Sarah and Micah are my favorite couple. They are from different worlds but their struggles to reconcile who they really are on the inside with who they are expected to be and find where they fit in, are very similar. Micah 'Prince' Carpenter doesn't have fond memories of New Orleans and hasn't looked back since he left ten years ago, but duty calls and he's back albeit reluctantly. He's all in on the quest to unearth the truth about Priest's death but as soon as that's done, he plans to return to his upscale life in San Francisco. Cooling his heels and playing bodyguard to a rich debutante is not exactly what he'd hoped to be doing but he's the best person for that particular assignment. Being in New Orleans makes it easier for him to slip back into the persona of the outlaw biker he used to be and the temptation to take his charge for a spin on the wild side becomes too hard to resist. Sarah Delacroix is a southern belle through and through, always above reproach, careful to act within the rules of their set even though she feels restricted by them. Micah is a breath of fresh air with his bluntness but he tempts her to throw off the restrictions and rules and be herself. Finally the truth of Priest's death is revealed and while I've been looking forward to this from the first book, it paled beside the chemistry between Sarah and Micah. They are perfect for each other and I loved heat between them as well as their verbal sparring and the innuendos. Beneath that prim and proper exterior is a very passionate and strong-willed woman just waiting for the right motivation to reveal herself and the challenge she offers to Micah is exactly what he needs. Micah is actually a very complex man, made of many facets, all of which he needed to come to terms with in order to be happy and fully accept the brotherhood offered by the Deacons. For Sarah, all the revelations about what happened ten years ago only support her desire to be herself. STRIP ME BARE is not the usual biker/MC story and any reader who expects the gritty, rough and crude part of that life will be disappointed. This book (and the entire series) is more about family, renewing bonds of brotherhood and finding love, and I for one love it. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

What a novel! Yates returns to the world that she’s created surrounding the Deacons of Bourbon Street in a big way to create a novel that held my attention throughout. She cranks up the heat at times while also creating a one of a kind, emotionally impacting tale. The overall plot progression of this novel was great, but I found the characters hard to connect with at times. I did enjoy getting to know them on various levels, but some of their actions and reactions were a little off the walls at times. That said, it also made them the characters that truly filled this story well. This is definitely a hot, steamy novel with substance. Once again Yates has created a fulfilling novel that I really enjoyed. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

I have to start off by saying Maisey Yates never disappoints and she didn't, again. :) The story begins with Sarah entering her family's mansion as she plans and prepares for Christmas party. The Delacroix family mansion has been neglected after Katrina and Sarah wants to repair/revitalize it and bring the mansion back to life with this forthcoming party. But when she walks in and finds a very large and dangerous looking man waiting for her with news that Delacroix doesn't belong to her family any more, she realizes life is about to change drastically for her. Micah precedes to inform her that the Deacon's MC now owns Delacroix. And the sparks begin to fly with some major sexual tension and verbal sparing between the two that was fun too read. Sarah was a southern bell that was brought up in a wealthy family and taught to behave in a certain manner,so as to uphold the family name of course. She had just broken off an engagement after learning she had been cheated. That didn't sit well with her family, that she had broken off the engagement because of course her fiancé was from another prominent family. Poor Sarah has been struggling with who and what she's become and knows that something has to give. Micah "Prince" was banished years ago by Priest (head of the MC) after an incident that changed several lives. Micah left and amassed a fortune for himself as well as becoming very prominent in the business world. He grew up dirt poor and always craved nice thing, hence his nick name "Prince" from his fellow MC friends. He's been called back by the MC because of the death of Priest and to help them find answers. And the answers are intertwined with Sarah, the Delacroix and the mansion. Wow I really liked these two characters. Sarah came across like a steel magnolia. Sarah was beautiful, poised, proper, smart but dying inside because their is so much more to her and Sarah is on the cusp of breaking free. Micah, wow I loved how alpha he was and the way he talked to Sarah,oh boy!!! The sexual tension jumped off the pages and we had some very hot moments between these two. But what I really liked is that they really came to care for each other, even though they fought it, and developed a relationship that was tender, sweet at times and loving. The mystery of Priest is finally solved and it was done well with almost all the lose ends tied up nicely. I'm not too much into MC novels but liked this one and how you became immersed into their thinking and their world. We get to see characters and couples from past books which was nice. And loved how the tone and atmosphere of New Orleans was portrayed and you were made to feel like you were "their". A very good read and definitely recommended.

Micah has come back to New Orleans to reunite with his old motorcycle club, the Deacons of Bourbon Street, to help solve the murder of their former club president, Priest. Micah doesn't want to be back and plans on heading right back to San Francisco as soon as they find out who is to blame. While he's in New Orleans he runs into Sarah who is part of the wealthy and possibly guilty Delacroix family. She's always lived her life by a set of rules but lately she's trying to do things that make her happy, and the one thing she really wants is Micah. I have read all of the books in this series so it was great to finally find out who was to blame for Priest's murder. I really liked each of these tough bikers. My favorite of the series is the the first one with Ajax and Sophie. I enjoyed this one too, but I just thought something that was revealed at the end didn't end up as such a big deal as it should have been, in my opinion. I liked that Sarah wasn't the typical female that's afraid of everything but I think there were some moments where she probably should have been and wasn't.

Received ARC book for my honest review With every single book in this series you get something unique. This story is very different. The Prince becomes the what he support to be and the southern belle becomes the biker babe. I finally glad that mystery of what brought them all back was put to rest. It was killing to have to wait for the next book to come out.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book! I had read a few of Maisey Yates books and they are ALWAYS so good!! This one was no different, it had me captivated from the first page!! Who doesn't love hot, bad boy MC guys!? Plus he has a job that requires a suit...YUM!! Micah has to go back to New Orleans, much to his chagrin. Priest was killed and he must help his brotherhood find who murdered him. Sarah is sweet and innocent little rich girl that does what she's suppose to do. Then why in the world did her fiance cheat on her?! She breaks off the engagement. She meets Micah and knows she needs to stay away from him but, can she? This was such a good book! Maisey Yates is one of my favorite authors!

Strip You Bare by Maisey Yates is a delicious and oh-so-sexy ride through the French Quarter. Strip You Bare proves opposites attract by pairing the MC hero with an uptight debutante. Sparks fly from the moment Micah "Prince" Carpenter and Sarah Delacroix meet. Will Sarah tame Micah or will he introduce her to her wild side? Strip You Bare is the final installment in the Deacons of Bourbon Street series and Ms. Yates does a wonderful job of wrapping up the mystery surrounding the death of former MC president, Priest. Ms. Yates has made me a fan of MC stories!

Micah Carpenter returns to New Orleans to help find the murder of the president of the Deacons of Bourbon Street. Sarah Delacroix recently cancelled her society wedding. To cheer up her grandfather she wants to throw a Christmas party in one of the stately properties owned by the family. Unfortunately, the house is now owned by the Deacons. Micah is assigned to keep an eye on Sarah. I loved the banter between Micah and Sarah. I felt that the time with Micah allowed Sarah to find her spine. She started asking for what she wanted, not just doing what society expected. Strip You Bare is Book 4 of the series, but it works as a stand-alone. The mystery is resolved and the book concludes with a satisfying HEA. And the sex is HOT. My favorite lines were Sarah thinking about her ex-fiance. "... now that she had kissed Micah, she judged the women who had gotten naked with her ex a lot more harshly. Obviously Charlie was even less impressive than she had originally realized." And my favorite: "A flaccid **** with saggy, empty balls where his brain should have been." Cover issues: guy has no tattoos. Micah's are described as being covered up by his designer suits. And a high-society girl would not wear daisy dukes and a denim jacket.

Awesome read with some very interesting characters. It's very well written and a great wrap up to the Deacons of Bourbon Street series. Prince is not happy about being back in New Orleans, however once a Deacon always a Deacon and he's here as long as it takes to find out what really happened to the club leader Priest. After being banished from NOLA 10 years ago, Micah "Prince" Carpenter has worked hard to make a new life for himself. He's financially become very successful and has met many women like Sara Delacroix. He has no interest in trying to melt the ice princess. Or does he???? Definitely one I recommend.

The Biker and the Virgin Debutante. This is the classic girl girl falls for the bad boy and wow does she fall hard. The Deacons MC Club had to disband 10 years ago but now are back together after the murder of their president. This is the 4th installment of this series written by 4 different authors and this wraps everything up with a tidy bow. The characters are just as biting and well-written and the scenes between Micah and Sarah are H-O-T. **Received a copy of this from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

This is the second book I've read in The Deacons of Bourbon Street Series, and I did enjoy it. At only 184 pages long, it has more of a novella feel to it, and I would have liked it. NonetheIess, Maisey Yates did a good job of writing a complete story in those pages. Strip You Bare is Micah "Prince" Carpenter's story. When the Deacons reemerged into New Orleans after the death of their mentor, he was the most reluctant of the original crew to return, having made a very successful and lucrative life for himself in the hotel business. When he is assigned to Sarah Delacroix and the family mansion that the Deacons now own, he was ready to get the job done and get out of New Orleans, that was until he met her. The Delacroix name is familiar in the series, as the last book "Hold Me Down," was Leon "Blue" Delacroix's story. Sarah is his cousin, and while he doesn't have anything to do with the family and hasn't in years, that doesn't change the fact that he doesn't want her hurt. Sarah is the epitome of everything Micah thought he would never have, deserve to have, or even want, but she surprises him, a lot, and the two end up in a hot, steamy, and intense relationship very quickly. The questions that have arisen in the previous novels regarding who killed their mentor and why come to light, and things become even more heated, as the truth behind everything is revealed. Micah/Prince has a lot to come to terms with, and Sarah, whether he knows it or not, has helped him to see who he really is, subsequently forcing him to consider what he really wants out of life when all is said and done. Short, sexy, and scintillating, Strip You Bare will definitely keep your interest. Maisey Yates does a great job in bringing things together, while providing a good story for readers in the process. Fans of the series will want to check this one out.
