Overview

He's a movie star sex god. She's a virgin... and a stripper.

So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.

He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player...but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.

And then things get complicated.

So I have a long standing love for this author and she has yet to fail me. Not only did she not fail me with Stripped she went beyond my expectations!! Jasinda gets a huge 5 star review for this, as we absolutely loved it from page one!

Okay now to all that is Stripped!

First we meet Grey Amundsen she is a very sheltered pastors daughter growing up in Macon, Georgia. She is finishing high school and begging to take dance classes. However her dad has some strong feelings regarding this.

“No daughter of mine will engage in any such lewd and sinful behavior as dancing,”

Her mother who is always on her side comes to the rescue as she has been for many years.

“Our daughter knows right from wrong, and you know it. She just wants to bring glory to God by using the talent's He's given her.”

Finally Grey gets to be Gray and show herself in the only way she knows how and she is great. She learns her senior year that not only does she enjoy dancing but also she enjoys film.

Everything is going as good as expected for this small town family until.... Tragedy strikes and Grey is forced to do the only thing she can which is move to California to pursue her passion of film.

Grey is now in the “Land of Sin” and going to film school. Things seem to be going as expected with little money and school but she enjoys it and learns to spread the money as needed... Until the money isn't their anymore she runs out and is forced to make a decision which she HATES! Between school and board and a great new internship (That she needs appropriate attire for) she realizes that a job is needed and a job is needed now. After much searching she finally goes to the one place that she wasn't wanting to go. But as you will see Grey is determined and strong and will get what she wants even if she has to be miserable along the way.

After awhile of working her internship and moonlighting as a stripper she gets requested in a private party. This isn't the first time that she has had to do one but it will be the most life changing. Stepping into the private party she comes face to face with a few of Hollywood's A-listers and one of them takes her breath away... This is when we meet....

Dawson Kellor! Ladies he is not just good looking he is gorgeous!!! Full of sex appeal and the confidence to make it work and his eyes are glued on Grey.

Grey has kept her secret from her internship and now a turn of events has her secret pushing towards the top and about to bust out. What will she do?

It turns out this Hollywood actor can't help himself but falls super fast and super deep into our Grey and it is so beautiful to watch this couple come together. He is the definition of a gentleman and it only makes him more sexy while you read about the things he does to take care of her. Will they have the happily ever after that they deserve? Only one way to find out and that is by buying this book like umm Yesterday. We not only recommend you do we require it! Warning as the Lovely Jasinda did warn me there will be tears but she makes up for it! You will feel so many emotions in this book which is amazing for an author to do and she pulls every emotion off from crazy ugly crying to laughing and smiling with joy. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

    Jillian's Review

Jasinda Wilder has done it again....

she has tugged at our heart strings and took us on one wild emotional ride! I loved this book and I love this author even though she makes me cry in all her books!

Grey Amundsen is a preachers daughter that has lived in Macon Georgia her whole life. She has a love for dance where she gets to be herself and express her emotions in ways she can't. Then one day tragedy strikes her life and turned it upside down. She then makes a life changing decision And moves to California to pursue her love for films. When she gets to California she throws herself into school and nothing else until she is forced to get a Job but no one will hire anyone with no experience but she gets this one opportunity but will she have the courage to go through with it? Then she meets hottie Dawson Kellor who is the Brad Pitt of the younger generation. They fall hard for each other. Dawson treats Grey like a princess. But can Grey accept it and let her guard down to love him back? If you want an book that's filled with hot steamy romance and heart ache then this is your book! Go buy it!!!

    SO AWESOME!

This book is 572pages of wonderful. It's full of love, romance and first time experiences. The sex is amazing. The character of Dawson is a very strong man on the outside but on the inside part of him is still a scared child who is desperate for someone to truely love him. Grey is all sorts of messed up. She is a very beautiful girl trying to become a woman but has no clue of how and ends up sending her life into a spiraling disaster. My one problem with this story is the fact that the author has Grey's character babble on and on about things in this story, to the point that at imes I wanted to pull my hair out. It made her seem very weak when actually she was a really strong woman who just didn't know it. At times I truely cried for her. All in all I recommend this book to everyone. Have the tissues ready. And you better get out a fan because when Dawson meets Grey both of their lives change forever and sparks start to fly and things start to heat up, steam up, fire up, and then explode into full blown straight up AMAZING SEX. Then a love like everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. So yes I absolutely loved this book.

Maybe because I've read her Falling books I expected something a little more emotional. I had to force myself to finish this book. Grey was so naive and annoying.

Ok, I really loved Falling Into Us and Falling Into You - but this was meh. Kind of juvenile and completely unrealistic. And they were saying I love you after like a week? And after all that time never being kissed or dating or anything, she gives it up after a few days with this guy? Kinda cheesy.

Not my thing all the detailed sex stuff. The premise was a good one. Although i was really interested in what would happen when it was discovered she used to strip to get by, but once it was revealed, it just skidded by. Very disappointing.

    Fell short

    Disappointed.
This book started off really good. I couldnt put it down, until....SPOILER ALERT.... they have sex. After they do, it seems as that is all they do. We never learn if Grey finishes school, how her father is and if he is ill, remarried, or if she gets the job. Grey is abit annoying too. I loved the Falling books, and started to love this one as well, but the sex scenes seemed to take over the book, and we then lost the story.

This may come off as a full fledge rant but Grey Amundson was a complete train wreck. Currently I can’t find one positive thing about her. The constant crying and vomiting #ICan’t. TBH I surprised that she was able to survive as long as she has. The chick never ate and when she did it was granola bars or something like that not to mention I swear she threw up everyday. I wish she had at least one friend to take the annoyance from her existence. I mean who goes off to school lives in a dorm and makes zero friends.

As a young girl Grey had big dreams of being a dancer and a career in film but of which her preacher daddy wanted no parts or pieces with. In his mind everything lead to sin. Which on some level I get, but of course his unwillingness to compromise caused a major rift between them. After tragedy hit their family Grey did the only thing she could think to do. She packed her bags and hopped a plane to LA to pursue her dreams.

No friends or family to turn to Grey falls onto hards times causing her to make a difficult choice to dance while taking her clothes off. While I’m sure with the upbringing she had it was very difficult to do, Grey made it super painful. Crying and throwing up every night after dancing. Come on. Shocker she didn’t turn to drugs

Stripped did not get part ways interesting for me until Dawson Keller made an appearance and his presence honestly didn’t wow me. While in VIP with his friends he apparently sees something in Grey and just had to have. One thing he was right about was the fact that she did not belong there.

As fate would have it Grey and Dawson paths crossed again when she’s presented an opportunity to be his assistance while interning for an upcoming film he’s working on. Immediately there’s this reconnect he gives her his Rover to drive and making all these grand gestures it all seem rushed and unrealistic in my mind.

At some point I couldn’t take the chase game between theses two any longer which lead me to start skimming just to get this over. I’m not sure if Ms. Wilder felt the same way about where things were going because the ending was all over the place and rushed. Immediately after I finished the last page of Stripped I gave my hubby my full rant there was hand gestures, eye rolls, I’m I said What the Flag many many times. So while the blurb and cover definitely pulled me in the story line just didn't do it for me and that’s putting it nicely.

    Loved Grey & Dawson's story

When i started this book , i wasn' t sure i was going to like it , let alone make it through the first few chapters.
I'm glad i kept reading because this was a beautiful story about a girl struggling to find her own , through alot of turmoil and struggle she finds herself as well as her soulmate along the way.
The book reminds me somewhat of a mix between A walk to remember, footloose & unscripted, but with it's own flavor & flare.
    Loved this story Jasinda.......Thank you!!

Grey Amundsen has done everything in order to keep from being homeless and hungry...until she is down to her last ditch effort. The only job she can get is stripping. No where else will hire her. So she sucks it up and strips. Then one evening for a private party she meets him...Dawson Kellor. Hollywood's hottest actor. Something happens that night she can't understand. How can Hollywood's Sex Icon want her...The Virgin Stripper! Something Grey can't deny is the sparks and heat they create just being in the same room.

I love it when you go to read something by one of your favorite authors and it turns out AMAZING! Jasinda hardly ever lets me down. Stripped was an emotional roller coaster with ups and downs and all the in betweens. These two fall hard for each other and all the craziness they go through. There were some parts that Grey seemed a bit weak and naive but that could have been because she was somewhat isolated in her hometown. Once again Jasinda, darling...amazing job!

The road to self-discovery is not always easy ... Grey Amundsen

The road to self-discovery is not always easy ... Grey Amundsen has grown up hiding who she really is or wants to be because her father is a strict Baptist pastor who demands that she follow his rules. Her Mom is her only cheerleader and knows that Grey needs to spread her wings and live a different life. When the unthinkable happens and Grey is left with just her father, she flees because he doesn't know her and has never tried to understand her. She embarks on her dream of working in films and goes to USC all alone. When the reality hits that her scholarship money won't last forever she must get a job that pays a lot and quickly ... enter the strip club. She hates it ... Jasinda Wilder really lets you feel all of Grey's emotions as she faces all of these challenges and then one night Dawson Kellor (famous actor) sees her and knows she doesn't belong where she is. From here we get to ride the wave of a great romance as Dawson tries to break through Grey's walls and Grey tries to figure out who she really is. All I can say is chapter 12 blew me away .... SIGH! Enjoyed Grey's journey to find herself - realizing she is more than what she knew as a child and that this is ok. Thank you Jasinda Wilder for another great romance!

I really liked the story line and characters in this book but it was a lot longer than it needed to be. It made the beginning very slow but I'm glad I stuck with it. I love full length novels but there were probably 100 pages that could have been edited out of this one without changing anything vital to the story. I would definitely try another of her books in the future

    Could have been better...

I like how the book gives us sufficient background information on Grey to start off with. It didn't just jump into her stripping, it began from her beginning and detailed what eventually led to her stripping.

I want to dislike Grey, I really do but I can't because she's just so sweet and smart, in the beginning of the book. She got some bad breaks in life and is working her butt off to make something of herself, but the crying....man what is up with all the crying! Its like in every other line she's crying or puking...enough already! Towards the end she goes from sweet to just plain stupid...total disappointment!

Dawson...well there's only one way to describe him: A Cocky, Arrogant SOB! We get it, you're a famous, spoiled, rich kid, who grew up to be a famous, spoiled rich actor! We see him mature some throughout the book but the fact that he is always inferring about the amount of money he had and how he can buy this and how he can have any woman he wants, leaves much to be desired from his character.

The book was very good in he beginning and throughout the middle, but once her stripping career was over, it basically just dragged. The rest was just useless information leading up to happy nuptials that Ms. Wilder could have covered in like half of those chapters. I was hoping for more drama, but it just fizzled out...very disappointing...

Dawson was the perfect gentlemen from the start. When he realized in the club that he wanted Grey for himself he made sure his

This was the first book I have read from Jasinda Wilder and I was not let down. This was one hot book! I am definitely going to read her back list books. It was one of those books that you felt like you were really there with them it was so well written! The first few chapters broke my heart and was such an emotional roller coaster. I didn’t want to put it down. ¿It’s a coming of age story about a Preachers daughter from Georgia. Grey has always lived by her fathers stricked rules. Her only escape was through her mothers love, dancing and her new-found passion for film. Due to life and unexpected circumstances she finds herself on her own in LA trying to work her way through college after her scholarship runs out. Not knowing what else to do she makes the decision to take the only job she can find even though it physically makes her sick.  She refuses to prove her dad right so as her last resort she takes a job as a Stripper. The shocker is she is a virgin! Then one night in walks Dawson Keller. Movie star, bad boy, sex god and their chemistry is scorching hot! They both know she doesn’t belong there. Then to her shock and his she becomes his assistant for his new movie while she is interning and working to get a full-time job with a movie studio. Grey is out of her comfort zone. How can she be enough for a man like him. He is more than she can handle but they both can not fight their attraction and growing love. She has so much emotion she is holding in and Dawson will not take No for an answer. He is used to not feeling anything and now that he has found Grey he wont let her go. Their story is one that will make you laugh, cry and jump for joy.  Two people from two very different worlds. Most would think they were wrong for each other but in reality they were made for each other. Will their love and passion overcome their differences and their past? This is one of those books that you will not forget. A must read for sure =)
