Strobe Edge has the typical plot of an "average girl liking popular guy and getting his attention" story. The main character, after being rejected by that one popular guy, continues to dote on him which makes their "friendship" become a bit awkward. I personally feel that Ninako's relationship with Ren is not only friendship but her becoming disrespectfully attached to Ren despite the fact that he already has a girlfriend. Overall, Strobe Edge does pull heartstrings with presenting the experience of first love.
