Own this book, it's absolutely worth it!!

This book has been in use now for several years and remains current in its content. The most unique feature of this book is the fact that the patterns cross musical genres and remain in use despite the changes music follows in regard to commercial trends. The book has no need for an accompaniment CD because the patterns can be used with any CD preferred from your own library.
The eighth and sixteenth note patterns throughout the book can be played in straight notational values and also in shuffle grooves creating not only good coordination skills but very useable patterns in multiple feels.
The book also includes a substantial introduction to Swing/Jazz studies with patterns that can be used with classic jazz standards as well as with newly released material.
This book can be used as a primary curriculum or as a solid addition to compliment a curriculum already in use and comes highly recommended. Add it to your personal teaching and/or playing library today.
