I used this book to study for my TEAS test. English and Math parts are good , but Science part is nothing like the questions in the real test. This book covers a lot of Anatomy and Physiology(only couple of questions on yhis part in the actual test), Chem and Life Science. The TEAS' Science part is very random. It has little bit of everything( geology, chem, physics, biology , anatomy, nutrition, scientific reasoning e.t.c)You definitely need an extra science book to score high on the Science section.

I spent 4 days poring over the official ati study guide, took both of the practice tests that came in the back of the book, and then just went for it. I ended up with a 99th percentile score. I didn't see a single question that wasn't covered in the book. Granted it's a lot of reading to do, but the resources you need to ace this exam are there, and it's a lot cheaper at B&N than at the official website!

In general, the material in the study guide is well written and touches upon all subjects fairly well; but in some areas it lacks depth of information. The math and English and language usage sections give you every thing you need to score well, but the reading and science sections may leave you sweating in frustration during the exam. The science test questions are generally more detailed then the information provided for study, and require prior knowlege of all sciences to be retapped for educated guessing purposes. The only downside about the reading section, is its limited examples and practice questions. If reading is not your forte, a supplimentary study guide is recommended. PS. Best of luck on your exam!

I think this book is really well written and is easy to read and understand. I have not taken a class in almost 20 years and have now decided to go back to nursing school. To get in I must take the TEAS. I haven't taken the test yet but already my confidence in how I will score has gone up by a LOT. However, the proof will be the score that I receive on the test!

Great study guide!! Studied and did the practice tests in the back of the book over and over until I understood everything good. If you study hard you will pass :)

The tipping point is a fantastic book that draws parralels between the various "epidemics" and educates the reader as to the incident or the thing that was the most influencial in getting the epidemic stared. It may be something as simple as a popular of famous person wearing something that can set off a trend of people wearing it too. Malcolm Gladwell then goes into the different things that the TV producers reasearch and look for in their advertising and educating. This book also made me more aware of the pull that advertising has to make someone buy something, and the different types of people, ie, the "salesperson" that it takes to get something to be a trend. Overall the book was very educational and I would recomend it to anyone who is interested in this subject area.

so far so good. i feel like some of the math had some errors and I need more dept and more questions in the english section. the reading could use more examples but over all not bad & the science was well covered.

This manual was pretty much right on the money. Questions were similar to ones on the test, and it broke down sections for you to pinpoint areas of study. The only problem I had with the book itself, that I noticed particularly in the Science section, was the "flow" of information was kind of sucky. (information would be in two completely different areas) Also, for some reason my book smelled bad? I don't know exactly what it smells like, but the smell was concentrated near the back of the book. Of course, this does not take away from the value of the book itself; it was just weird.

Bought this book used and although I didn't mind the previous person's underlining in the book, I was bothered by the person circling all the answers of the practice tests!! I had to erase all of them and could still see all of the answers other words!
