Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
According to the authors, your two-word Style Statement defines your authentic self: "It is a compass for making more powerful choices, a guide for designing a life that reflects your whole being. An anchor, a symbol, a mantra. A declaration, an affirmation, a reminder. You, fully expressed." To help you identify your statement, the authors provide a lifestyle map and human exemplars of different styles. Part workbook, part inspirational narrative, and part style guide, this large-format book will speak to anyone who has ever tried to design a wardrobe, a room, or their life.

    Fantastic book!

It took me 2 years to finish as I was going through a deep depression but it was a fantastic exploratory tool when I felt like I didn't know who I was right after college and marriage. Don't get thenook version though. Photos are much more vivid in the boom and the font and layout design is way more intriguing.

    Not very helpful

The authors promise a lot but do not deliver. Style suggestions are stupid.

    Ink hard to read

I love the title and pictures. This book expands one vocabulary and motivates one to express themselves with beautiful words...if you can read the writing. The ink print is too light. While I was trying to comprehend the authors ideas and reasoning behind writing this self-help literature, I had to strain to see the writing. Yes, I do wear reading glasses, but that was not the issue. It is the light print on the pages. These girls need to address this with their publishers.

Finding yourself in the most fabulous of ways

I loved the book. I was so excited when I picked it up from the store and I couldn't wait to get home and find my style statement.

To be honest, I'm not certain if I've properly labeled myself, but the book was so inspiring and really made me think about myself and who I am. I am seriously considering an actual consultation with the women because I believe in this and everything they've said that much.

I enjoyed the book a lot and I really think that it would be a great read for anyone who wants to think they are the most fierce person on the planet when the world has them down.

Style Statement: Live by Your Own Design

Who are you? What is your style? What two words best describe the authentic you? I guess I am nobody, because I never did find my style. Style Statement has a lot of potential, but it fell short of reaching it. The layout is confusing. I suppose my style is redneck and country. Carrie McCathry and Danielle LaPorte speak with great authority. I have no doubt that they know their topic well. Their book has a sophisticated aurora to it.

Style Statement: Live by Your Own Design

When I received my copy of Style Statement, I was very excited. What style am I? This beautiful book will make a great gift for someone. The information is interesting. However, the arrangement is confusing. I never did find my style statement. I think I am a combination of several. Style Statement includes questions to assist you in discovering your two words.
