In this book, six adept wedding designers offer couples wedding and bridal party themes. Doh (Craft-a-Doodle) has pulled together a group of designers to present a host of theme-wedding ideas, or perhaps, a hearty hint of inspiration for couples in need of a kick in their personal direction, be it a Farm Chicks Wedding, Natural and Organic Wedding, the French-Inspired Wedding, or others. There are few brides or grooms of mothers thereof who would not get at least a baby’s breath wisp of inspiration from these pages. Features and details in the Farm Chicks wedding, for example, extend to food ideas: serve French toast stacks with wild berries and cream in canning jars. Each theme takes ample space in making a doable deal out of such fixtures as eggshell vases with wire racks or asparagus bouquets (natural and organic theme) or colorful treat boxes and vintage wallpaper wrapping (romantic and pretty theme). Wedding invitation ideas and craft sources are in ample supply. (Jan.)

Doh (Craft-a-Doodle: 75 Creative Exercises from 18 Artists) enlists the help of six crafters or lifestyle bloggers, each with her own personal style, for this collection of easy wedding-themed crafts. Each of the experts focuses on a wedding theme (e.g., "Rustic and Elegant," "Vintage Glam," "French Countryside") and provides tips, projects, and advice on everything from cutting costs to choosing flowers. Some of the topics seem interchangeable (there's not much difference between the outdoorsy Farm Chicks and the Natural and Organic sections), and a few of the ideas are so precious that they're downright off-the-wall, but crafty couples with a taste for quirky wedding decor will find some inspiration here. VERDICT If Pinterest is any indication, handmade wedding favors and decorations are popular. Purchase accordingly.
