    Hard-core Dom/Sub Relationship

    I've read and enjoyed a few other books by Carolyn Faulkner, and was eager to read this story. Unfortunately, I didn't care for this book because I found it to be too violent for my taste--I prefer more romance. However, I liked how the author described the emotions, motives and reasoning for the characters' actions/behaviors. It gives the reader a better understanding of a hard-core dom/sub relationship and what it's based on--at least in the minds of these two characters. The book itself was well written. There is very little romance to this story; however, if you're into the severe beatings/punishments, you'll enjoy this book.
