Courageous. Unflinching. Surprising. After decades of feeling as if she had to compromise her essential nature to please other people, Barbara Moore not only learned to speak up for herself, she learned to tell her story in such a way that it encourages all of us to notice where we are not being true to ourselves. Full of grit and grace, Submissive No More is an inspiration.

In this candid, objective memoir f a codependent marriage, the author takes readers on a painful yet poignant journey from a failing marriage toward independence. In a welcome conclusion, the memoir ends with an insightful, hopeful resolution that will speak to any reader who has endured a conflict-ridden relationship. A succinct portrait of the nature of submission and one woman discovering herself in marriage and beyond. --Kirkus Reviews

Submissive No More is a courageous story of one woman’s journey from relationship and personal pain to setting healthy boundaries and living her life joyfully; one step at a time. Culturally women are still encouraged to be pleasers, reading Barbara’s story of recognizing and replacing her people pleasing with authentic living is truly inspiring!
