Overview

Billionaire industrialist Nicholas Kane isn’t the kind of man who “does” relationships. That’s why he hires expensive professional submissives to entertain him for the night…and leave in the morning.

And art teacher Brooke Talley isn’t the kind of woman to sneak onto a billionaire’s property and impersonate a submissive – all night long. But she made a deathbed promise to her grandmother to fetch a certain object from Kane’s property, and then she ran into Kane, one thing led to another…and she woke up in the morning, sore, throbbing, more satisfied than she’d ever been in her life…and handcuffed to one Nicholas Kane.

There’s a problem, however – for the first time in his life, Kane isn’t satisfied with just one night. How far will he go, and what lies will he tell, to claim Brooke Talley for keeps? And who is the mysterious lurker who will go to any lengths to keep Brooke from finding what she’s looking for? If Brooke refuses to abandon her search, she risks losing not just her heart, but her life.

EXCERPT:
Suddenly, Nick tangled his fingers in her hair, leaned down, and, pressing his lips against her ear, murmured “Your safe word is Magnolia. I’ll stop any time that you want me to.”
And then before she knew it, he placed his free hand on her chin, pressing it down so her lips parted, and plunged his mouth onto hers. His tongue thrust into her mouth, hot and hungry and probing, and he ravaged her mouth with his kiss, claiming her completely.

She found herself accepting it, returning his kiss hungrily.
He slowly pulled away from her, like hot sticky taffy stretching until it snapped and their mouths were separate again instead of one.

Her heart pounded in her chest so hard that she was sure that he could feel it. He looked down at her with that maddeningly amused grin. “Are you sure you’re up for it, little girl?” he asked tauntingly.

Her eyes blazed at the challenge in his tone.

“Oh, I’m very sure.”

As quick as a wink, her head was tipped back again by his rough hand yanking forcefully at her hair and holding her trapped, and he reclaimed her mouth, tongue circling inside, probing, thrusting, and at the same time, his free hand slipped under the neckline of her dress and his fingers cupped her right breast.
She started, and moaned, but her moans were muffled by his hot kiss. His fingers circled her nipple, gently squeezing it, and she let out a small muffled yelp.
There were half a dozen people in the room with him, and he was caressing her breast in front of everyone, in a possessive, intimate fashion…and hot desire flooded her body like lava running through her veins.

He pulled back again, but his hand remained on her breast, thumb caressing the rock hard nub of her nipple.

“You sure you’re up for it, little girl?” he repeated, in the same taunting tone.
“Oh, I’m sure I’m up for it. But you keep asking that. Are you sure YOU’RE up for it?” she said challengingly.

And then it happened, before she knew it. Before she could stop him.
He grabbed her, and fell into a wooden chair, pulling her face down onto his lap so she was dangling over her knees.

“You’re about to find out what happens to sassy little girls when they talk back,” he told her.

“What are you doing? Stop it!” she cried. He flipped up the hem of her dress, and grabbed one arm, twisting it up behind her back.

Her white lace panties barely covered her full, plump, buttocks, and before she knew it, he’d yanked them down, exposing her to everyone in the room.
“Stop it!” she cried out, wriggling frantically.

“You know your safe word, darlin’. If you’re not woman enough to handle me, just say it.”

    Just ok...

In beginning, the story was ver capitvating but towards the middle it started to lose steam. However, towards the end it started to pick up again with the mystery and action. My main complaints are no character developments and no good ending.
