I was hoping that it would be different. I should have read into it a little bit more before I picked it up and actually bought it. We are looking into becoming foster parents and I was hoping that it would be more for that 'sector' of people, but it's more for people that have already parented their own children and are now going to become foster parents either concurrently or after their children have grown. Other than that it has interesting anecdotes and good information. They make reference to other publications that I am going to pick up and see if they are written more for the situation that we are in.

Good basic info, but if this is not the first piece of info you have read on foster care you probably won't learn much you don't already know.
