Heard "Nothing Better" one day and I was in love on the spot. This ep (aside from the pretty cd sleeve art) is well worth the money. First, the standard (now famous?) "Such Great Heights", a wonderful, lovely song. Track #2 is, as far as I know, previously unreleased and is just as good as anything off the main album (also features the wonderful vocals of Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley). Track #3 is a Postal Service cover by The Shins, and they do a wonderful job of keeping the song light and beautiful while at the same time adding their own Shin flavor. Finally, while I don't like most Iron and Wine songs, and I do think this cover makes the song seem sad when it's not supposed to be, track #4 is still not a throwaway and is quite good in it's own way. Frankly, while reviewing my comments here, I had to go and get the EP and play it as I finish typing this. Had I paid twice or even three times as much for this EP I still would have been satisfied. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
