If you are a Kim Harrison fan, you will love this short ebook. It provides good insight into the demon past and why Al has a hard time trusting the elves.

I love Kim Harrison's novels but even $.99 is too much to pay for this very short story. It should have been a freebie.

WARNING: You can buy this as a stand alone short, but it is VERY SHORT! It does pack a punch, and I would have rather read it as the climax in a full-length novel, but it is a great little story, but only if you have already read most of the Hollows novels, so you know who's who and can figure out what's going on. This story came with the paperback, but not the hardcover edition, of The Witch With No Name. I had bought my e-version of that book during the hardcover release, so I didn't get the story initially. I just redownloaded my electronic copy of The Witch With No Name to see if this short story had been added, and it had. You may have to remove your current copy and redownload, if you are in a similar situation. It was nice to see Newt and Al (referred to here as Gally) as freedom fighters as they revolted against their elven masters. We get to witness Newt go from defiant, run-away slave to powerful, amnesiac demon as she releases the group-spun curse on the elves that would doom their reproductive success.

It was cool to get that background on AL & Newt. Do wish it was longer, but I've read them all & I'll take what I can get! Thank you , Kim. Love you !

Too short.  With no introduction made the story very confusing.  Felt like it was a scene deleted from a book, should   have been left in the book.

I was so sad that the Rachel Morgan Hollows series was ending, i've followed it anxiously for years with the firm belief that Rachel and Trent belong together. THIS book has nothing to do with Rachel or Trent but focuses on my two favorite Demons, Al and Newt. Why is Newt so brilliantly crazy? Why does she not want to remember? How did she get involved with the Goddess and her Mystics, Why does the Goddess fear her so? This Glimpse into the Newts history was really refreshing. My only request is that we "backtrack" more because I really want to know the Demons story especially these two. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep writing about them Kim Harrison. Don't leave me wondering. I'm addicted.
