While I wasn't thrilled that Ronnie was a bit of a witch at times and was basically throwing a temper tantrum, the characters were good and the plot had me not wanting to put it down. It was also great to have a clean story without people hopping in and out of bed. They were actually married and loved each other!

This is another one of those books I picked up free a while ago. It isn't so much a romance as a mystery/crime story with some romance thrown in. Veronica is enjoying her wedding reception with everything changes the instant a mysterious woman shows up and starts talking to her new husband Rick. Now all she wants to know is what is going on. From that moment on her life takes on a new direction that she seems to not only embrace but enjoy. I don't think I would react as well to such a sudden change in my life. Maybe it just shows she wasn't really cut out for the ordinary life she was about to embark on.

**Disclaimer** ARR review. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review. This novel starts at Victoria's wedding to the handsome Rick; the perfect wedding, the perfect dress, the perfect groom, the exgirlfriend who shows up and pisses off the bride at her own reception!!! Turns out that Victoria doesn't know as much about her new husband as she previously thought she did. 'Suddenly a Spy' has lots of twist and turns keeping the reader engaged as you follow Victoria and her spy husband. This novel comes after the one I previously reviewed of Heather's; it was nice to see a 'familiar face' even if only for a few pages when you meet up with Devon from 'Ring of Fire' on his plantation in Ecuador for what Victoria discovers is not only a month of training but putting her young marriage to a test. Like the last novel, this one tackles a growing problem, this time Heather addresses human trafficking; she doesn't go into a lot of detail with it, you do see the seedy side of it, but nothing that would make my stomach turn which was/is a relief. As 'Suddenly a Spy' progresses you watch how a new marriage can be put to the test as Rick and Victoria battle again Marco and his evil cartel. You travel all over the world with Victoria and rick from the Carabean, to Europe to Central America and back to the US. I found myself feeling for Victoria and wanting her to succeed as she was thown into a world where danger literally lurks all around her and she doesn't know who to trust and if her new marriage is where she wants to be.

I have finally found an author that gives you details without repeating it ten times or more to fill the pages. This is my second Heather Huffman book and I am hooked. I think she needs to write faster because I cannot put her books down. I loved seeing characters from other books come to life again. Fantastic.

Right now I am on about page 156 and i love the references to throwaway and that Vance is there. I just wanted to say that real quick. Moving on... this book didnt really drag me in from the start. I am not sure what it is about it but it just was a let down comming from Huffman. It is getting a little better but I believe it will appeal to me on about the same level as Ties That Bind, rather than Throwaway or Jailbird ( which were two of her books I really could not get my nose out of) come the end. I think this book would probably be good for people who like more of slow moving events ( I mean really, page 156 and theyve just recently solved their personal conflict? Come on) and a bit of cheesiness, judging from what i have read of it.

This was a odd book. Most of the time, the reader was left confused but sucked into the story. Somehow, I didn't want to stop reading it & wound up enjoying the story. The characters were believable & the plot was ridiculous but cool. This is totally different from most of this author's books, but still well worth the price.

I loved this book! It was an easy read with no swearing and no explicit sex. Just a light comedy and written a way that you could identify with the personalities in the story. I highly reccommend it!

This is a great book for someone that likes detective stories and intrigue. The characters and the story line were great and the author wrote her story about true facts, woman trafficking. For a free book it was great

In Suddenly A Spy, Heather Hoffman spins a fantastic, quick-reading romance/mystery/action novel that I consider a meat-and-potatoes romance read that includes all the right ingredients in all the right amounts. Veronica Talbot-Sinclair is the beautiful blushing bride until Adrianna happens on the wedding scene and starts flirting, and talking about past events, with Veronica's new husband Richard Sinclair. This occurrence results in setting the tone of a very sour relationship between these two women in the future. Richard is hiding something about his past from his new wife and Veronica does not like it one bit. She sets out to find out exactly why this mysterious woman Adrianna is so familiar/intimate with her husband. Read Suddenly A Spy to find out how much of an adventure and how much trouble awaits Veronica and Richard as Veronica sets about unraveling Richard's mysteriously dangerous past. How does this exciting couple narrowly escape being assassinated, break up slave/human trafficking rings, take down dangerous crime cartels, and still maintain their unique loving attraction to/and relationship with each other. I give this wonderful book a rating of three stars. ************************************************* How I choose my star ratings: 1 = Groaner. Probably didn't even finish it. 2 = Yawner. Poorly written or weak story. 3 = Recliner. Sat back in my cozy chair and enjoyed the read. 4 = Page Turner. Hard to put down. Well-written cohesive story. 5 = Keeper. A story that stays with me. Excellent reference material.
