Gods, Goddesses, Demigods, Demigoddesses run amok in the cosmetic industry. Boone Brux has created a delightful romance filled with lots of magic, sizzle, and a healthy dose of humor.

Suddenly Beautiful is an easy read for the weekend or beach vacation. Tor and Nikki have a purely professional relationship until one conniving demigoddess decides that she’d like to have Tor as one of her trophies. Demetria’s plans fall by the wayside when the loyal assistant, Nikki ends up making sure Tor gets safely back to his apartment. Deeper feelings are uncovered, leading Nikki and Tor on a wild ride to figure out what to do with their new status.

I absolutely loved how Nikki embraced her demigoddessness. Her sass and in your face attitude made my day!

This is a light hearted story that has heat, in your- faceness, and laugh out loud moments. It was a great way to spend my afternoon! I thoroughly enjoyed this masterfully written romance.

    Absolutely Loved It!

Gods and goddesses and demigods and demigoddesses, oh my! This super sexy story of Tor and Nikki is awesome read that left me unable to put the book down. With every page I was wanting more! Tor, the sexy billionaire demigod who was so caught up in his business that he refused to have a personal life until someone slipped him some Ambrosia. Then WHAM! Feelings were unleashed, but not at all what he expected. Nikki, the executive assistant to Tor, and demigoddess (unbeknownst to her). Everyone around her knows, but no one feels the need to enlighten her until she comes into her own. This book will take you on an amazing adventure that will leave you wanting more. I just hope we haven't seen the last of the characters! Great job by Boone Brux!!

I received a copy of this book from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review! I had a feeling I was going to like this book, what I didn't expect was how much I truly did enjoy it! I've always been fascinated with Greek Mythology and so when I read the blurb I knew I had to at least give Suddenly Beautiful a try.

Thing number two I wasn't expecting? How incredibly funny this book was at times. I mean I was maybe a handful of pages in, 2 maybe 3, and I was bursting out laughing. From this:

In reality, she wasn't sure why she struggled so hard to hide her interest. The man never thought about anything other than work. She could probably dry hump his leg and he'd tell her to file something while she was down there.

That inspired some pretty hilarious visuals! And there was plenty more of that kind of thing where that came from. Especially when none other than the actual Gods themselves made appearances and decided to meddle in the business of their "children". Ares? Oh man, by far probably my favorite thing out of the entire book. I wish there would have been a lot more of him. He was exactly what one would expect from a Greek God. Larger than life, full of ego. Very much with an air of "I am Ares you may bow to me now!" Hilarious! Especially the interactions between Ares and Nikki. I could seriously go on and on with this.

This was alternating POVs between Nikki and Tor, which I love, so we got plenty of insight from both perspectives. Tor was a demi-god who didn't want to get by because of that fact. He turned his back to his abilities and his status and was a workaholic determined to make something of himself all on his own. He didn't make time for anything except work. Not even women. Nikki, his dedicated personal assistant, always there for anything he needed and absolutely in love with him. But he never really "saw her" Until one fateful night... And let me just say, the chemistry between Nikki and Tor was...intense. No exaggeration, I mean whenever things heated up between the two I'm surprised my computer didn't burst into flames. Loved. It.

Overall I loved this book. The story, the characters, the humor, the romance. It was all just a little bit of perfection. Especially Ares. The funny that came out of scenes with him alone made it worth the read for me. Thank you so much to Entangled for sending me this book to read and review!!

    P.S. Did I mention that I liked Ares? ..

If you're looking for a fun summer read, you will love this humo

If you're looking for a fun summer read, you will love this humorous tale of gods and demigods living and working among us. Boone Brux has written a sexy romp with billionaire mogul, Toraos Stephanos, who runs Kythera Cosmetics and Nikki, his every faithful assistant, who is secretly in love with him. Tor is strictly business until he is slipped some Ambrosia, the nectar of the gods. This breaks down his defenses and he and Nikki spend the night together. When Tor doesn't remember their love making, there is hell to pay. To complicate matters, Nikki is a demigoddess who has come into her own powers. She's more than a match for our hero. Talk about a feisty heroine. She is the daughter of Ares, God of War. This is such a great story with a sexy romance, an evil seductress, an outraged father and an interfering mother. Don't miss it!

Suddenly Beautiful was a fun, fast read. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The humor was great, not too over the top but had me laughing out loud at times. I loved that though Nikki was the unassuming assistant in love with her boss, she wasn't a doormat. She had reasons for not flaunting her beauty, i.e. her super model and make-up mogul, egocentric mother. And she didn't take a lot if crap from anybody.

The scene with her friend plotting revenge on Demetria, the corporate attorney, had me crying with laughter. Loved this this paranormal comedy and hope there are more in this series.

Let me start by saying I LOVE mythology. This book was like the Percy Jackson series all grown up. There was even a reference to the Percy books. :) I love the idea of demigods/goddesses and the like being real-I'm pretty sure I'm a demigoddess just waiting to come into my own! I had a hard time putting this one down once I started it. The characters were so much fun. I really like the progress Ares made-he's pretty tough so it's pretty hard for him. lol There is a bit of a predictable track toward the end but that's the fun of reading. You let go of reality and dive into the book with both feet. I laughed out loud so often that I lost track. When Nikki got angry and her powers came out she was hilarious. I have all my fingers crossed and am using my power to bend will that we get Nikki's friend's story. I want more, more, more!!

Suddenly Beautiful is such a fun read that have me laughing at many parts of the story! And Mythology is definitely a plus point in this book with its wonderful characters.

Demigod, demigoddess, gods and goddesses came together in Suddenly Beautiful, revolving around Nikki and her boss Toraos, and the fateful night when her boss was drunk with Ambrosia and Nikki ended up staying with him. However, Tor pretends as if nothing happened. What Nikki didn't know turned up to be life-changing!

The characters in Suddenly Beautiful are realistic and easily relatable. There's lots of hilarious situations in the book which I really appreciate. The paranormal element suited the book just nice and matched the personalities of each characters. I especially love the relationship between Nikki and Tor and Nikki and Ares. It's actually heart-warming to read about how Ares's slow acceptance. This is a really great read and enjoyable! If you are looking for a fun HEA read, this would be it!

    Fun, quick read

I enjoyed it but thought it ended a bit abruptly. I'm such a sucker for books with a Greek mythology theme and I loved that in this one the characters were directly related to the gods instead of descendants of descendants because then you get scenes with the actual gods themselves (which were hilarious, by the way). Overall I thought it was a fun and quick read, perfect for reading during the summer.

    Mythical fun!

What a charming story! I found this book while scrolling through the romance section and was sold because I love Greek mythology. Luckily, I wasn't disappointed with this book! This is an entertaining read - particularly if you enjoy mythology and can suspend your disbelief. The story is quirky and charming and well-written. I really liked all the characters and hope this is the first in a mythical series by Boone! I will definitely be checking out more by this author!

    Funny, sweet and HOT!!!

It’s all fair in LOVE and WAR… I would hate having a boss as gummy as Tor and don’t been able to jump him as soon he gets to the office, just to keep my job. I loved the fact, that even thou Tor is the son of Aphrodite and gorgeous, the guy is a dedicated business man, not a player, has mommy issues and is completely clueless about his own romantic feelings. My favorite part of the book was the first meeting between Mary and her long lost father, Ares. Just remembering that part, makes me smirk, smile and giggle. Loved, loved that father and daughter moment they had at the end… NO SPOILERS. Just read the book to found out what happen. ^_^

    5 Goddess Worthy Stars!!

I am finding that I really enjoy mythology based romance books, and Boone Brux’s Suddenly Beautiful is one of those reasons why I am falling for these stories! I’m not entirely sure how Nikki kept her intense crush on her boss, Toreas, a secret for four years, but I was relieved when all of their attraction came to the surface in a night of untamed passion. The outcome? Not so “happily-ever-after” as you would expect.
Being the boss, Tor couldn’t let his desire for Nikki interfere with their working situation, but it becomes increasingly more difficult when the devilishly handsome Creed Killion, his new creative director for his company, shows an interest in Nikki. Creed suggests she become the new face of their new product line and gives her a make over, making her even more stunning. How can Tor resist? He can’t, but he tries so dang hard.
Suddenly Beautiful has everything from the gorgeous leading man, the beautiful inside-&-out leading lady to the jealous and vindictive woman, the trying-to-snag-the-beauty guy to godlike powers, family secrets to chaos and deceit.
Boone Brux’s writing is phenomenal and I found myself completely enraptured with the story of Nikki and Tor.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong, witty, won’t-back-down kind of girl, paired with a guy who tries to keep his control over everything, but seems to fail when it comes to said girl.
