Ynonne Wakefield has her own specific point of view based upon years of interaction with the country of Kuwait. Like any of us, that POV is informed by who she is and what she sees and how she interprets it. This seems to be the way of all writers and I find her story of a western woman in an Arab country to be both fasinating and informative. How many western women would willingly throw themselves into a Muslim country? We should be thankful that she has brought back such a moving recollection that is both funny and chilling at the same time. Kuwait changed American policy in the Middle East and what happened there caused a chain of events that has brought us to where we are today. Ms. Wakefield's story is part of that history. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
