Meet the Author

JAN BOZARTH always dreamed as a child that she could weave her interest in dance, music, art, and poetry together. Her dream came true when she grew up and had a music and writing career. Now she is a grandmother who writes stories and songs for young people and often works with her own adult children who are musicians and artists in Austin, Texas. Sometimes Jan is the fairy godmother who encourages them to believe in their dreams. Jan credits her own mother, Dora, for handing down her wisdom—dream big and never give up.

    Bloodkit

She paded in and looked around. The trees around her started to die. The grass she was standing on turned brown. And the sky above her grew black as a raging storm came to view. She sat down and looked at her paws as it started to rain. Everything she touched died and wilted. A curse she could never change. A small bunny hoped over to her. She put a paw on its head and the bunny quickly died. Shhe curled up, tears flowing from her eyes. The storm soked her pelt as she uncomfturbly fell asleep.

    Read this review!

This is my favorite book in the series right now. It is about a girl who travels to a magical land called Aventurine. One of the neatest things about the book is that she discovers that she has the power to change into anything she wants to. Open this book to find the story of a girl who rescues what cannot be rescued and awakens a sleeping nation. What she learns on her journey will benefit her for the rest of her life. The main characters in this book are Sumi and Kumo.
