The long, sunny and often hot days of summer offer opportunities for lots of fun. The two kids (presumably brother and sister) and their dog fill their days playing on the swings, building sand castles at the beach, playing in the yard and spraying each other with a hose. They also spend time on a farm, riding a haywagon, catching and freeing fireflies and having a great time at the fair. It is an idyllic picture, one that most city kids will not experience but may let them vicariously join in the fun.
