Holy, a Missourian, is house sitting in Summer Beach, Australia. When she takes puppies in need of urgent care into the local veterinary practice she meets Nick, working locum tenens over the Christmas vacation. The couple has its ups and downs during the Christmas holidays as they get to know one another and try to determine whether or not a happily ever after is in the cards for them. This is a sweet holiday romance for those looking for a nice clean love story. Thank you to the author for the copy of this novella to read and review.

The last thing billionaire Dr Nick Forrester expected when helping out at the animal hospital was to meet this beautiful American. He knows that they belong together. But with cultural differences and malicious gossip, can he convince Holly that all he wants for Christmas is her? My Review: Looking for Snow and mistletoe, then, keep looking. Holly Scott helps a woman who becomes ill in the restaurant where she works in Missouri. She continues to help the woman and her husband while they are visiting. They live in Australia and ask her to house sit and care for their cat while they travel. It's a dream come true for Holly who didn't have an easy life growing up in foster homes. When she gets to Australia she can't believe the huge, beautiful house. And it's on a cliff overlooking the ocean! When Holly finds a box of puppies on the doorstep she takes them to the vet. Turns out that the vet is not only gorgeous but the neighbour of the people she is house sitting for. I really enjoyed this wonderful Christmas romance. Ms. Hanna is a very illustrative writer making it easy to picture the events taking place. Christmas in Australia is so different from Christmas in North America. I didn't have any trouble envisioning this story even though I thought I would since it's summer in Australia in December. If you are looking for a sweet Christmas romance that's a bit different (it was for me because of the different seasons) this is a good one to try.

For a novella, this one was fairly well done. It had an interesting setting, fun characters, humor, etc. I also enjoyed the australian slang. There is a glossary at the end that you may need to refer to.
