This book by, far was one of the most perfect books I have ever read! I loved how they were such great friends. Also I love how she gets all the feelings everybody gets when they are in love it just makes it seem so much more real! I think Mika is the most ideal guy eva and is every girls dream. No kidding he is amazing. He is also sweet and patient and loving. I mean did you not love his poem I would have died of happiness right at that moment! So if you didn't read this book you need to I mean it is the most awesome 99cent book you can get and it's 197 pages of never putting the book down! And if you have read it I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This was a nice, lighthearted and quick read. I found myself flipping through the pages because I couldn't wait to see what would happen next between Haleigh and Mika. Overall, Summer Love is a sweet and cute love story that I highly recommend. I can't wait to read Autumn Love! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. First off I want to say that I absolutely loved this book. It was an easy read and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I was able to share in Leighton's frustrations, as well as rejoice in her happiness. The love story was sweet, cute and funny and Leighton was down to earth, unpretentious and just the right amount of vulnerable. I could relate to Leighton like she was an older me, someone who loves Ian Somerhalder (because trust me, I LOVE Ian Somerhalder) and I even loved the fact that she was a homebody at heart. She had a mature voice for being a senior in high school but she also sounded realistic for her age. She's someone I could definitely see befriending in high school. The dialogue was fun, witty and never dragged. I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation to see what was going to happen next between Leighton and Mika. I loved the sexual tension and I enjoyed the backdrop of the "will they or won't they" relationship of Leighton and Mika. It was always there, just quietly simmering in the background until it eventually erupted! And trust me, when it erupted, it was HOT. And hot damn! I ADORED Mika. He was a great hero--not a bad boy, just an all round nice and decent guy and it just shows you that the nice guy can sometimes get the girl in the end. Not all us girls are into the bad boys. I also laughed out loud while reading this book as the author has a keen eye for satire. The full cast of supporting characters were interesting and helped bring the book together. Along the way, there were loads of fun, funny moments and growing up as Leighton navigated the challenges of falling in love with her best friend. This was a fantastic start to what I hope is a long line of books. A solid 5 stars. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
