Editorial Reviews

Author's Choice Reviews
"As always, Peterson captures the reader from the first page with a smooth narrative, depth of character and a plot that pulls the reader along until the last page. Another winner for Tracie."
Harriet Klausner
"Mystery, romance and inspirational elements interweave within a vivid picturesque character-driven early-twentieth century tale... will have new readers seeking Tracie Peterson's back list like the Heirs of Montana series."
Heather Hiestand
"As with the best of Christian fiction, I found myself relating this concept to my own life as it was discussed and illustrated in the book, and rereading passages as they motivated further consideration....Not only is it thought provoking, SUMMER OF THE MIDNIGHT SUN is also a good novel."
Romance Reader at Heart
Inspirational Romance Writers
"Ms. Peterson does a fabulous job in researching historical facts, native customs, and the hardships of how life was lived in 1915 on the Alaskan frontier. The daily life as well as the adventures they endured traversing the unforgiving rugged terrain made this an exciting and adventuresome read. Peterson faithfully depicts Leah and her brother's great love of God, his teachings, living a good Christian life and relying on the direction God in their daily life, especially as Jacob tries to impart this knowledge to a very troubled Helaina. Leaving you with a bit of a cliff-hanger, the secondary storyline of Helaina and Jacob will be a highly anticipated continuation in the Alaskan Quest saga!"
Melanie Dickerson
"This is Tracie Peterson's second series set in Alaska. There are a lot of exciting twists... a cliffhanger..."

    terrific historical thriller

In 1915 in Last Chance Creek of the Alaska Territory, Leah Barringer anxiously waits for the return of her beloved brother, Jacob, who left two months ago by dogsled to get needed supplies from Nome. While waiting for Jacob¿s expected arrival, Leah reflects back to when she lived with her guardians in Ketchikan and told her brother¿s friend Jayce Kincaid that she loved him, but he not so delicately reminded her she was not even of legal majority age and he saw her as Jacob¿s kid sister. Jacob returns accompanied by Jayce who has changed since his cold rebuff of Leah¿s opening of her heart to him. He has found the Lord and plans to make up what he did to Leah who he realized after he rejected her that he wanted her. Leah fears being burned again by him. --- The two male friends discuss an Arctic expedition which frightens Leah who loves both of them. Pinkerton¿s Helaina Beecham arrives from DC to bring Jayce to justice for killing two agents and robbing a bank. He insists he is innocent yet he hides the entire truth from his friends, the law and his beloved Leah. In spite of witnesses affirming his innocence, Leah wonders if his expedition is a farce to escape law enforcement from the Lower Forty-Eight. --- The first Alaskan Quest tale is a terrific historical thriller that provides an appreciative audience with a powerful look back to life in the Alaska Territory. Little things like the transportation to get there provide an incredible glimpse at the era. Mystery, romance and inspirational elements interweave within a vivid picturesque character driven early twentieth century tale that will have new readers seeking Tracie Peterson¿s back list like the Heirs of Montana series. --- Harriet Klausner

    Sensational!

Tracie Peterson's books as well as her writing are sensational. They truely teach me so much about love, marriage,& christantiy. They help to have a better walk with Christ , while living as a young adult. Peterson writes about true love, that real love that is known only with God as your friend every step of life. Since I am a christian young woman living in today's society who has a tremendes of amount to learn about life.I'm stll young, and I'm addmitting that I don't know everything. I figure this a good positive way to help myself. I know that a of her books are majority are fictional stories , but writing like that you have know that kind of love through God, and life experiences. This book, and every other book Tracie Peterson has wrote are so worth reading. Peterson's books as well as God have helped me get trough some really rough things in my life. Mrs. Tracie Peterson has inspired me so much. As a young woman,as a christian, & as a writer. Go read! Ba Bye, God Bless! P.s. Thanks!
