Meet the Author

I’m a great believer in Fate. Yeah, with a capital “F”. And I write in those terms. Why? Probably because my beloved husband said he fell in love with me the first time he saw me. You might ask if it was a two-way gig… In a word, uh-uh. Not that he wasn’t fine to the extreme, but I wasn’t looking for forever, but rather a fun vacation experience. Yeah, so now we’ve muddled our way through over twenty years of marriage, and I have to admit to his superior intuition on that one!!

So if you’re looking for Alpha heroes who just happen to “know” their life-mate when they see them, don’t be overly surprised.

I write paranormal romance as TL Schaefer and erotic romance as Keira Ramsay. Why the split personality? Because I started out as TL Schaefer, and didn’t want to confuse the heck out of the folks who loved that stuff when I went to the “dark side”.

If you like your heroes in uniform (be they cops, firefighters, or military) and your heroines with a bit of quirk, then wing by my website (tlschaefer.com) and check out an excerpt or two to whet your whistle!

You can connect with me on Twitter, via Facebook, or heck, the old-fashioned way at terrischaefer@yahoo.com!

    Reasonably Good

This is the first "paranormal romance" book I've read and wasn't expecting it to be such a book. I liked the two main characters well enough and the overall story line was just O.K. The dialogue needed to more succinct without extraneous descriptions. I identified the "purp" soon after the character was introduced. The book would have been better if it had been pared down to about 75% its length. It also lacked any editing for simple spelling and sentence structure, which I found very annoying. Part of my lack of enthusiasm comes from the feeling that the two story lines never meshed well. I had the feeling that the book was the result of two very different literary ideas that were forced to become one. Bottom line.... I've read other free books that were more enjoyable.

    ?

Why do ppl harp on grammar and spelling? Are u so anal that you feel you have to point out errors? Just read and overlook them. I will bet you would find it more enjoyable than being a grammer and spelling nazi.

    Good

Easy to spot the perp. The ending was blah but really good up until then.

This book was not very good

This book had so many errata in it, it became annoying, hard to focus on and unenjoyable. To the person who complained about reviewers wanting well edited books, stating they are being grammer nazis: I like a well edited book, I expect quality for my time, effort and hard earned money. Even the free books take up time in my life, if I am willing to give up this important commodity, authors can spell check and check puctuation, by hitting a computer key. Perhaps, the reviewers who do not care, do not know how a proper sentence is constructed, words are correctly spelled or punctuation is correctly applied. Proper editing adds to a book and does not take anything away. Reading a badly edited book and not saying anything about it, is the same as purchasing poor quality, improperly constructed clothing, which falls apart, looks tacky and does not fit right, and not returning it to the store, even though you spent your hard earned money on this garment, because it is good enough for you.......Well, it is not good enough for those of us, who know what a proper book should be and value ourselves, our time, money and expect authors to uphold the standards they were taught. It is shame the reviewers are willing to settle for for sub-par goods or are so uneducated, they don't know mistakes have been made. I would rather be an educated grammer naxi, than an uneducated buffon, with no sense of proper grammer, willing to settle for less than my monies worth, showing a great lack of self esteem. From now on, I will refer you all as " DUNCE CAP IDIOTS." Have a good day and get back to your coloring books.

This book, besides the bad grammer, did not hold my interest. I rated it for content, not on the insults, thrown out by the dunce cap idiots.

    Entertaining

I wasn't expecting much since many of the free books arent worth getting past the 4th page, but this book was one that made me look forward to some quiet reading time. The story was interesting and while I identified the murderer early on that wasn't the most important point of the story. I will very likely try another book by this author, as the book was enjoyable and the story interesting. Although something about the ending felt lacking, it wasn't enough to ruin the overall enjoyment of the book.

    Enjoyable Read with Interesting Characters

Hallelujah! A book that has been properly proofed. THANK YOU.

The story came together very nicely and it was a most enjoyable read. Well written with interesting and believable characters.

I will definitely read more by this author.

There were a couple of things that weren't very well explained, but they didn't spoil the story. It's probably just more of my preference to have a deeper look at the psychoses of villains and their process.
