All right, so it's no big secret of mine that I don't often read contemporary, because mostly I just end up being disappointed in them. However ... that was definitely not the case with Summer's Temptation. I loved every single thing about it, from the very first sentence to the last.
I love how Cassie is so "real" I guess you can call it. And I love the way the girls (Cassie, Liz and Hannah) interact with each other. And can I say that I love the sex shop scene at the very beginning of the book? LOL, I couldn't help but laugh a bit, because I did not expect the book to start like that.
And btw, I demand, I get my own damn Tyler Mason! The way Ashley describes him makes me wanna jump his bones right of the pages of the book. It's not fair, damnit! He's just too delicious to resist, even if he is just a character.
As for the story, what can I say that, probably, already hasn't been said? It was good, it really was. It was a bit different too, what with the way Cassie decided to do things in the end, which is all Liz's fault for putting the idea in Cassie's head in the first place, anyway. And seeing as I don't like spoilers, I won't any further then that on the story and plot itself.
But the romance! Ooooooh baby the romance, was smokin' hot! I couldn't stop reading all the smexy, smexy scenes. And I love the chemistry between Cassie and Tyler. They just fit so damn well together!
Also I added one of my favourite quotes from the book, which I've never done before, but I just couldn't help myself, I just love this quote, it gives a fantastic view of the chemistry between Cassie and Tyler :D .
"It's like... it's like I'm the only woman in the world for him. I'm the only one he wants to make love to. The way he worships me for hours, taking me to places I've never been, it's as if he's thanking me for making him experience things he's never felt. I love that I can drive him wild with a kiss or a caress or a whispered word."
Okay, so anything else I could add? Hmm, probably not, except that Ashley Lynn Willis, is an author who did the impossible. Thanks to her and Summer's Temptation, I am now a Contemporary genre convert! And I am lovin' it! Oh and also I love Freddy and Philospher Dan and I hope to see them in Autumn's Fall again as well!

5 Hug Buddy Stars!!
This was honestly one of the best books I have ever read. It had everything a goof book needs: romance, humor, friendship, and those stomach hurting, pull at your heartstrings moments. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down!
Summer's Temptation is told from Cassie Faye’s point of view, and having just been dumped by her ex-boyfriend Wyatt, she is ready for someone to help her with her needs . The extremely sexy next-door neighbor Tyler Mason is the perfect man to fill those hug buddy shoes. Tyler has a long list of conquests and likes to keep every hook up unattached, which is what Cassie is looking for. She doesn’t want to take any chances by falling in love again and almost losing her scholarship.
From reading the synopsis, this seems like every other generic “friends with benefits” story, but it isn’t. It has so much more depth and character development than I expected, and that’s what makes it different, what makes it stand out. I loved all the characters and the relationships the author writes about, especially the friendship between Cassie, Liz and Hannah. It just seems so real, and they are absolutely hilarious. I want to be friends with them! This book just completely exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait for Autumn’s Fall to come out, because that little excerpt at the end? Yeah, I’m dying.

The beginning of this book had me in stitches! I can just imagine the shop they were in - the seedy characters looking at the video selections especially send shivers down my spine, while I'm laughing so hard it hurts. We should all have friends we can get to go shopping with us...even for a "Bob" or other toys. The three things the girls know to be true, based on what Liz had written on a dry-erase board, are the start of it all. I like the girls and their close friendship. Cassie has been heartbroken and they are there to support her. Liz has an interesting idea of what Cassie needs. The list is too funny. I enjoyed Freddie and would like to have more of him, Brian (Tyler's brother), and maybe even Aiden come into the next book. I am not so interested in Wyatt, the ex-flame. There is a good reason for me to not want Wyatt around...I like Tyler. I think he has real potential. I will definitely read more of this series.
