Technologies of interest to him include web services, wireless technologies, and XML/XSLT. Mehran's professional focus has been on architecture, project leadership, mentoring, team leadership, and programming from the mid-tier on back. Mehran holds certifications in both "The Other Company" and Java 2, and he graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in software engineering from the honors program at The Ohio State University.

Sun Certified Java Developer Exam with J2SE 1.4

Every now and then, you come across a book that acts like as a breakthrough. I don't if it's a matter of the teacher appearing when the student is ready or what, but whatever it was, this book was it for me. I feel like I finally understand some of the deeper concepts of Java. And I have my SCJD to prove it.

Sun Certified Java Developer Exam with J2SE 1.4

This book is just so far away from the others that it's not fair to compare them. Professional development paradygms, deep details RMI, SWING, and threading, logging, everything. Why the hell aren't there more books like this?

    Excellent Book!

This book really covers everything! From RMI to Threading to swing to coding conventions to regex to exception chaining to logging. It explains everything I needed to understand, The RMI material was especially great, because I had always been intimidated by networking. And it offers a fully functional sample application. I'm hoping to finish my exam by the end of next week, so wish me luck!
