Sun Stroked by Cathryn Fox

Maybe 3.25 stars for "Sun Stroked" by Cathryn Fox, the sexual sparks were there but the rest of the story kind of fizzled for me. Could be because it was a three story anthology that ran less than 275 pages...seemed to be so quick.

Three friends go to a secluded island spa for a well-deserved vacation from their business. They don't realize that the spa is also used by injured soldiers. There's also a magical elixir that promises to grant the drinker their most desired fantasy. Each of the women manage to get tangled up with the recovering soldier that can grant their fondest wish...love.

Good, but just a bit too...too.

    good read

I really liked this book how the author brought the exciting thought of finding romance on a weekend getaway. There are some parts where your sucked into the story and heat between the characters.I wish the author would do another book with these characters to follow their story off the island. But over all i liked the book I think its worth reading..

    Plotless and Trite

I love romance and don't expect much when it comes to complex story lines, but this was beyond disappointing. The characters are weird cliches and there is no plot. It was not worth the two dollars, which is saying a lot.

    Loved It!!

I wasn't originally gonna buy the book...but for $1.99 I thought it'd be a good deal. I am so happy I did buy it, because It's such a fantastic book! I started reading it last night at midnight, telling myself that I'd put it down at 1 so I'd at least get some sleep....didn't happen. I got so sucked into it that, before I knew it, I looked up at the clock to see that it was almost 4 A.M.

Fantasies Fulfilled at the O Spa!

What better time for a summer escape than chilly November? And there is no better escape to an exotic--or should I say erotic?--locale than Cathryn Fox's Sun Stroked. Three beautiful women, three scrumptiously handsome military men, and enough fantasies to keep you toasty warm until the snow melts. Sun Stroked consists of three novellas, one for each woman determined to immerse herself in her own personal fantasy, only to discover their fantasies are soon to become reality, a reality far hotter and sexier than anything they could have dreamed up in their imagination. Each story stands on its own, mixing the erotic with the emotional in a way that keeps Ms. Fox's readers coming back for more. So if you want a steamy read, delve into the fantasies of Danielle, Lauren and Abby and let the O Spa work its magic on a cold winter's night.

    The Best of Erotic Escapism!

Sun Stroked ties up the best of erotic escapism into three fantasies so hot you¿ll wonder if you should have keep the air conditioner running this winter! I was so impressed by the intricate fantasy of the location ¿ I could well imagine all these fantasies coming to life in a pleasure drenched spa like this (the O spa, need I say more?). Three novellas feature three women who soon find that reality can outstrip fantasy as they indulge at the spa with three recovering military men. My favorite story was that of Lauren ¿ a beautiful woman looking for a soul mate, not just someone who wants her for her body. Sometimes erotic stories can forget the emotional side of the relationship, but not here. Of course I loved the light BDSM of Danielle¿s story, and the sheer sexiness of Abby¿s tryst with Cody as she decides she needs more in her relationship than steadfastness. This book is a keeper!

Mindful of Fantasy Island, but many degrees hotter (it is a Heat imprint)

¿The Sensual Soak¿. Danielle Carrigan, Abby Benton and Lauren Sampson visit O Spa, the Oasis of Pleasure, on a small private South Pacific island where each hopes their deepest most secret desires are met as proclaimed about an exclusive magical elixir found only here. Danielle wants a man to dominate her, but she must be able to trust that he will not harm her. She wonders if injured soldier Ethan Sharpe is her passionate ¿Mr. Hardbody.------------ ¿The Pleasure Pool¿. Beautiful Lauren wants someone to appreciate the inner soul and not just her body. She remains restless as she wonders whether that recuperating from war injuries military hunk Ryan Thomas can see her inner soul and to herself she admits her body too.---------- ¿The Sunset Sauna¿. Engaged to marry Artie Drummond, a boring sex partner, Abby wants passion in bed not just with her food. The third recovering soldier buddy Cody Lannon seems perfect but very wary of becoming relationship prey instead of predator.---------- Mindful of Fantasy Island, but many degrees hotter (it is a Heat imprint) these are three well written whimsical tales of romance with a touch of magic in the air, beach, bedrooms, and a few other places.------------ Harriet Klausner
