    Disappointing

Gerald A. Michaelson really does a poor job of comparing Sun Tzu's timeless principles to the everchanging principles in business management. Examples he gives are not clearly applicable. All Michaelson does throughout this book is summarize basic management techniques that are so well known throughout the consulting industry already. I would suggest reading Sun Tzu's original text and discovering your own comparisons.

    Essential for every manager

This book lays out the common denominators of management, procedural thinking and the development of strategy. So, regardless of your industry this book is a gem. This uncomplicated and insightful interpretation of The Art of War as it applies to the business world was a pleasure to read from cover to cover. In this entire book I found only three sentences that seemed to give too narrow of an interpretation. Also, I would have liked to read more real world business examples. Overall, do yourself a favor. Read this book at least twice.

The Art of War for Managers

This book successfully describes how the fundamental strategic truths and wisdom taught by Sun Tzu in his 'The Art of War' can be applied to modern day corporate skirmishes.
