British producer Beta Hector deals in a complex, messy, multi-layered sound that draws heavily on old-school funk and soul but really incorporates all kinds of different influences: you'll hear nu-soul (featuring the vocals of Sarah Gardner and the excellent Dionn Charles, among others), hip-hop, trashy electro, and jazzy techno, all of it spiced up by occasional incursions of weird glitches and sudden squawks that seem to come from out of nowhere.
