SundayMusic 2 is another favorite from the superb Sunday Music series. Featuring many artists we had previously been unfamiliar with, SundayMusic 2 makes for great dinner music or background music when chatting with friends. We like all of the songs and favorites include Silent Sigh by Badly Drawn Boy, Worrisome Heart by Melody Gardot, Where is My Boy by Faultline with memorable vocals by Coldplay's Chris Martin and the delightful Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap. Love the music and would assuredly like to see more of the SundayMusic series!
I walked into a Barnes & Noble to buy the new Heroes DVD and a song from this cd was playing in the store. It was Lennon's Across The Universe by Rufus Wainwright. I thought I'd buy the cd and to my surprise it was this compilation of one great artist after another, put together for Sunday listening. If you're like me, often I don't find a cd that has enough songs on it to warrant a purchase of the entire cd. This cd breaks that rule BIG time! One outstanding song after another, and the discovery of artists was worth the price alone. I went back and bought Sunday Music 2 the next day. Equally blown away. My fav changes all the time, but right now Jacob Golden, Michael Brook, and Rosie Thomas are on my mind. A wonderful Package! I forget to buy Heroes!! LOL.
I heard Josh Golden at Barnes and Noble here in Oregon and being a big fan I was curious what they were playing. Turns out it was this CD, and with Mindy Smith on it, as well as Imogen Heap and Jeff Buckley, I thought I couldn't lose. I LOVE this cd and hope to find time to try Vol 1 too. The mix is wonderful of course for Sunday Mornings, but on Friday I like it ever better. Thanks for reading.
This is a CD everyone in my family enjoys - from my 78 year-old mother to my 20 and 23 year-old daughters. I play it in the car and it makes highway driving peaceful. We play it as background music when we get together for family conversation with a good glass of wine. I highly recommend this CD as well as "Sunday Music 1."
