Wow. This was different than what I'd normally have expected of Erin Hunter. Excellent plot twists, cliffhangers, foreshadowing, secrets revealed, captivating new secrets formed, I could go on. I was expecting a terrible series meltdown after Squirrelflight admitted that the three were not hers. However, I take this back as it went were I never knew it would. Hollyleaf was by far the most interesting character. I loved how she made Leafpool and Squirrelflight feel ashamed and humiliated with her smart retorts. Jayfeather and Lionblaze were almost as captivating, with Jayfeather determined to find out who his mother is, and Lionblaze's attitude towards Sol and Purdy. Sol. There is another strong point. Very mysterious character, and I could not put the book down while he was involved. His quiet wisdom-turned-rage should keep anyone reading. The best part in the book, I think, is the climax. Hunter is very good at creating absorbing climaxes with exiting battles and gut-wrenching deaths and revealed secrets. I noticed this becoming less and less as 'The Power of Three' went on. It definitely ended on a good note. However, according to Laozi, there can be no yin without yang. There were, in my opinion, four 1/2 main down parts. Two were in the literature, one and a half in the reading, and one in the ending spot choice. The two in the literature were that, at first, I felt I could stop reading for a while, as the book, in the beginning, failed to keep me interested for long. This was battled by the, if not frequent, at least occasional plot twist. If not for those, I would have not finished the book by now. The second, rather minor one, was that the scene in which Brambleclaw got mad at Squirrelflight was a bit rushed. He simply said "You lied to me so I'm mad at you," and left. I was a bit disappointed in this, as I wanted and expected a huge argument that left Squirrelflight dejected, sorry, ashamed, and hopeless. I didn't get it. The one in the reading was that unlike me, many of the readers of this series are not teenagers but young children who are not ready to deal with stressful content, such as the suicide after a deranged argument. The half was that Squirrelflight was not herself in this book. I understand that she was injured, but she had a whole book and a half in which to recover. I also understand that she would be tormented by the memory of admitting to the kits that she is not their mother. She's stronger than that. At the gathering, Hollyleaf was quite right in calling her a coward. But I digress. There was also the mistake of ending where it did. We need another book in Jayfeather and Lionblaze's perspective to patch things up. Still, I highly recommend this book, and found it a great read.

Usually Erin Hunters books are very obvious (though i stil enjoy them very much) however, this one gave me an unexpected surprise. Most thrilling and shocking of all her books, definetely the most exciting. Lots is revealed in this book, however, it still leaves u wondering and urging for the first book in the next series to come out where more and more will be revealed. i was surprised of some of the people who died and who shaken some cats become. If u like an excitement where your eyes literally cannot come off the page, this book is right for u. (however, make sure u have read all the other books in the series first). I was so absorbed i was shaking through half the book, and a couple parts did make me cry, but that was really what made it all the better. it was more exciting than sad, so those of u who dont like sad stories, its not too bad. in fact, while i am writing this review, i am still shaking with excitement. i made my sister read it right away once i was done, and accidentally told her half the plot while i was bouncing off the walls, constantly going off about all the things i didnt expect. dont pass this one up.

First, the story plot was AMAZING. Everything we wondered about was explained, which might've been a little overbearing, but whatever. It works. I was so excited when they said who the three's parents were!! I was one of the believers in the Leafpool/Crowfeather theory and to hear the Erin Hunters to finally let out the truth was very rewarding. Moving on, I was really disappointed when they didn't come up with a bizzarre twist for who the traitor was (for the longest time I thought Hawkfrost just meant that he and Tigerstar were going to haunt Brambleclaw's tail off & there wasn't a living cat who helped). It's just that Ashfur was so obvious, & it was so unlike the Erin Hunters to make it so plain. However, they totally redeemed themselves with Ashfur's murderer. Who would've expected the gentle, obedient to the code Hollyleaf to murder one of her Clanmates?! It was really interesting to see in this book (& Long Shadows) the change she undertook. The biggest protector of the warrior code was ultimately destroyed by the very thing she practically worshiped throughout her entire life- something worth thinking about, huh? I think she was way too harsh on Leafpool & Squirrelflight, & I feel absolutely awful for those two. True, they messed up, but the three totally overreacted. Both of them lost EVERYTHING- their mates, their 'children', their positions in the Clan. You've gotta feel some sympathy for them. Speaking of which, does anyone know what happened to Leafpool? She said something about not being able to continue being medicine cat, but it never says what specifically happened to her. One of the many reasons that the Fourth Apprentice will be one of the most awaited books EVER. By the way, I think Dovekit is the third cat in the prophecy. So, because of that, Ivykit is my favouite. But Dovekit rocks. Hopefully they won't turn out like Hollyleaf, or even Leafpool & Squirrelflight who honestly could've confided in Brambleclaw or even Firestar. I also think it worth mentioning that I find Firestar to be the biggest idiot in the books (followed closely by Brambleclaw) & he needs to loose his last life. Or at least one of the leaders. I'm tired of them. They're old & need to make room for new leaders, like Mistyfoot :D. Moving on to the Erin Hunters & their writing. The Warriors series are excellently written, & one thing I love about them is that no matter what awful, sad, and treacherous things are going on in the Clan, there's always something good to lighten the mood- new kits, good hunting, warrior/apprentice ceremonies, etc. Unlike Twilight (which I've never read, but I have a reasonable idea about them), from which I get the impression that there's a lot of doom & gloom with nothing to lighten the mood. However, I do find that the Erin Hunters are straying a little from the original Warriors. For example, they said somewhere that Warriors can help with real life situations, like joining a new school or dealing with bullies and stuff, but in the recent Warriors books there hasn't been anything of the sort. Like finding out that your parents lied to you & broke the law? Not very relevant to real life. Or the way they're so suspenseful, like waiting until the fifth book to tell the truth about the three's parents, is just way too much for me. A little is ok, but that was rediculous. I will continue to read the books, I just hope they find their way back to the first Warriors style

Ok, i can NOT wait for this book to come out. i have read all the Warriors books atleast twice, i have even read the earlies ones like five times, and i own ALL the books, guides and random storries that Erin Hunter posts. Warriors is one of my favorite series, right up there with Twilight. I have heard that Erin Hunter is going to make a new series, and is currently working on it. i can't remember where exactly i heard this, it was either in an email or on the Warriors website. Anyway, i can't wait to fine out exactly who Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze's parents are, even though i already know it's Leafpool and Crowfeather, i mean, come on, cheack out JayFEATHER's name, Leafpool named him after all. also, all the weird things that she said, felt, and the way she acts. almost guilty. i am really curios as to who killed Ashfur, though i am kinda happy he's dead, i used to think he was cool, but then he went all love-struck and insane, FREAK ALERT! i wonder what's going to happen to the three main cat's now... they can't hate Squirrelflight forever, she's cool! i'm also curios as to see what happens to Lionblaze and Heathertail (that is her name right??) and what Crowfeather's reaction will be. this book series seems to be ending too fast for me, so much has happend that i can't believe its all in five books, and it feels like so much more should happen, more then one book's worht, we'll see!!! CAN'T WAIT!

HI Everyone! This is Wildstar, leader of EarthClan, here. I just wanted to say, I need a deputy and a medecine cat, so JOIN EARTHCLAN TODAY!!!!!! Some warriors and apprentices would be well apperciated, too! Also, it's kinda obvious that Leafpooland Crowfeather are Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather's parents. Leafpool was just " bursting with emotion " when she named Jayfeather, and she named him obiviosly after CrowFEATHER. How else did Hollyleaf get her black fur? FROM CROWFEATHER!!!!! Anyway, Please join EarthClan! State what position you want to be, what your name is, and a breif description of your cat. (i.e)WILDSTAR: dark gray she-cat with white and brown flecks. Has bright green eyes. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This series is AWESOME! I think in the lastest book (Long Shadows) that Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze's mother is Leafpool and father is Crowfeather. I think Ashfur was murdered by Squirrelflight; I mean SERIOUSLY! While the Warriors were trapped and Squirrelflight admitted (which actually was a little cold; because she was like "see if I care, their not even my kits!"....) and Ashfur was astounded. THEN he asked to go to the Gathering! It's a no-brainer that he was going to tell the WHOLE lake about her secret. Before that I could have swore that Lionblaze was going to kill Heatherpaw. I am very happy that they all got away safe from the Greencough. I thought Millie was going to die. Then Graystripe would be soooo greif-striken..... Poor Graystripe.......
This story was DEFINATLY one of the best, however, there is no argument that the first is the all-time best so far.
I can't WAIT for the next book to come out (25 days before my birthday!!)
Thanks for reading!

I was in tears by the end of the book. You get so caught up in the book that when your favorite characters die or go away and don't come back, you need to stop and let it all sink in. I don't know about anyone else but I get emotionally attached to my favorite characters.

Filled with so much action! It was hard to put this book down! The best book yet in the series! AMAZING! Every page held a secret which shouldn't have been revealed but it was. Friends are now foes in this book and trust has become a big issue, even in families. AWESOME BOOK!

This is honestly, the best book I have ever read. The Power Of Three sereis wasn't as good as all the other ones in truth. Erin hunter certintly made up for it with this book. The whole entire book is thrilling and suspencful. It was impossible for me to put it down, in fact i stayed up until 2:00 am reading it. The only reason i stopped is because i finsihed it =). Yes, I did read it all in one day, it was that good. All the questions made in the last book will be answered in this one, as well as a ending you will ceterintly not have guesed. Also a person you would never expect turns out to be the one to kill Ashfur. The whole entire book will leave you thinking "what will happen next" almost forcing you to read on. If you read this you will be wishing the "Omen of the Stars" sereris was already out. ______________________________________________________________________________________ I would like to join Earthclan. I made my name li0nheart, in honor of lionblaze, firestar before he came leader whos name was fire"heart", and of course the previous Thunderlcan deupty well lionheart. I couldn't spell it "lionheart" though because that was already taken so i spelled it with a "0" because it is the closest you can get to a "o".

I refuse to believe that Brambleclaw, Firestar, and Hollyleaf will die. I also refuse to believe that Leafpool is exiled. For what???? Firestar doesn't know if she is the mother, nobody knows besides Squirrelflight. These rumors are nonsense, I see no logic behind them.

Ok im very excited for this, i just finished Long Shadows last night, it was a little confusing. First: I know i will probably find out later but i was confused about who killed Ashfur. It seemed on the last page they made it seem obvious, but i just didnt catch the obvious-ness or something Second: What was with the 3 chapter long dream of Jaypaw's? I get what the dream was about, though it was a little confusing, but why did it take so long to explain and it seemed there was alot of unneeded details in there. Third: Has hollyleaf found her power yet or not? And along with that, i started crying when Squirrelflight said they werent her kits. But i think it could be cloudtail and bright heart's kits, or leafpool and crowfeathers. Leafpool is kin of firestar and so is cloudtail. Im getting pretty annoyed with Jaypaw he just complains about everything when someone says "Come look at this" or "What did you see" he doesnt need to be smart and make some wise crack back at them, he gets alot of respect and he is getting to worked up over small mistakes.

hi people. i just wanna point out that there are a lot of clues that crowfeather and leafpool are the parents of lionblaze, jayfeather, and hollyleaf. first of all, its not so important, but i dont think jayfeathers name is just a couincidence. i think leafpool named jayFEATHER after crowFEATHER. they have the same last names. Also, they mention a "fourth aprentice". if crowfeather and leafpool are the parents, that would make breezepaw their half brother and probably the fourth apprentice. The biggest reason is that niether leafpool or squirlfleight are the mother, then the cats wouldn't be in the prophecy. wich means, since they are firestar's only grandchildren, they HAVE to be the ones in the prophacy.and they are, according to jayfeather's mindreading, lionblaz's skill in battle, and whaterver hollyleaf's power is. also, if breezepaw isnt the fourth apprentice, then it might be cinderheart. she plays a magor part in the series after leafpool and jaypaw find out she's cinderpelt.

I have loved these books ever since book one. I cant remember if this part is in long shadows or sunrise, but Hollyleaf doesnt want ashfur to reveal squirrelflights secret at the gathering so she sneaks up on him before the gathering and kills him. I personally thought it was squirrelflight because thats what jayfeather thought because she looked really guilty when firestar announced it. So leafpool wasnt able to come to the moonpool with jayfeather so he went alone. He was really close to finding out who his real mother is, but he really wanted to know what that herb is that the elders told him about so he asked littlecloud. Littlecloud told him that it was most likely parsley. Jayfeather had never heard of parsley so he asked littlecloud what it was. He said that it would stop queens from there milk coming out when there kits die. So he thought that his real mother took that so she wouldnt have milk coming out. Then he realized that the elders told him that squirrelflight was lucky to have leafpool with her. Then he thought oh my gosh! If leafpool was the only one with her then leafpool is there mother and she took the parsley yo stop her milk. But he still didnt know who his father was. Hollyleaf soon figured out that leafpool was with squirrelflight when she was having her kits so she asked leafpool who her mother was. Leafpool told her that she did know who her mother was. So hollyleaf was really curious and wanted to know whot heir mother was and leafpool told her hollyleaf im your mother. Hollyleaf just stood there then padded off to the warriors den. Then leafpool went to her den. She said to jayfeather i think i told hollyleaf something that i shouldnt have. He said that your our mother. Leafpool asked how long did u kniw this? He told her i figured it out at the moonpool. He didnt ask who is father was though because leafpool would never tell him. So the loner sol was in their camp because they thought he killed ashfur. Sol knew quite a bit so lionblaze asked him do u know who our father is. And he said yes. Lionblaze said tell me. Sol said only if u get me out of here. So lionblaze helped him escape. Then he said will u tell me who our father is now. And sol said meet me at the old abbanden twoleg place with ur brother and sister and i'll tell u. They met him and he was being mean to shadowclan he was trying to make a fake sign of them prey stealing. They said this prophecy is about us not u we dont need u. So they were leaving when he said do you wan tto know who ur father is though but they didnt listen. Then in jayfeathers dream starclan sent them a sign of a crows feather. So at the next gathering hollyleaf announced that brambleclaw and rsquirrelflight were not her parents sge said crowfeather and leafppol are. Crowfeather said i guess they are my kits but i luv nightcloud and my only son is breezepelt! So hollyleaf was so angry that she ran off into the tunnels to leave her brothers and some rocks fell behind her and they never saw her since. She went to start a new life. But i have searching the web and i guess she comes back in the book the forgotten warrior. Also hollyleaf never dound her power so she was not a part of the prophecy there will be three of ur kin kin of ur kin who have the powers of the stars in there paws. But whitewing had kits witch she is the daughter of cloudtail witch i kin of firestar so rather dovekit or ivykit are apart of prophecy i know witch one it is and she can hear and see thing far away

By far the greatest Warrior book. I was shocked to know that Leafpool was Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf's mother. (And that nobody noticed she was pregnant.) I can't wait to know if Hollyleaf really died, what happened to Leafpool, and who is the Third. Anyone who hasn't read Warriors, go pick up Into the Wild NOW!

I just know this book will be ah-mazing! I believe Squirrelflight killed poor Ashfur. And I don't believe Ashfur was the true traitor. I believe he was framed or tricked into doing what the real traitor wanted. The real traitor should be Spiderleg even though I love him to death. He was the one who didn't want to help WindClan when Mistyfoot showed up in Starlight. There was a big storm while he sat vigil as a new warrior. And Lionblaze saw him running through the Place of No Stars. And I believe Leafpool is the mother of Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf. I hate that not one of them is related to Brambleclaw and Tigerstar. Lionblaze should be Squirrelflight's kit. I think Crowfeather is the father but I'm hoping it's Ashfur. Didn't anyone notice how upset Leafpool was when Ashfur died? Oh, and I hope Icepaw becomes Icecloud or Icestorm, and I hope Foxpaw becomes Foxclaw or Foxtooth.

i know for a fact that Jay Holly and Lion's parents are Leaf and Crow because in Sunset, Brambleclaw comments, "The clan is well fed. even slender Leafpool looks quite plump."

It is the sadest story i have ever read. I can't believe Hollyleaf was so creul to poor Leafpool. Now Squirrelflight lost her mate it is thr saddest story i have ever read.If you have not read this book yet i wouldn't suggest reading it at all. Is Jayfeather the new medicine cat? Will he succed without Leafpool? I hope Leafpool comes back. If she doesn't i will propably actuely cry my eyes out

Hey this is Sandstar of Seaclan talking This is a book worthy of the biggest fish on the fresh kill pile. I really loved it. I would be proud of Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze if they were my warriors. Erin Hunter did a wonderous job on the book. I don't want to spill any info in the book for those who have not read it. Seaclan is looking for a new medcine cat. Please join, we also will except more warriors and aprentices.

I recomend this book. More cats enter the sundrown place in serch of midnight,, but thet didnt find her. They skip through the twolegs place to be found being chased by dogs, eild dogs , but then this shecat saved them and took them to purdy. Surprisingly they found perdy AND sol there. They take them both back to camp Lionblaze lets sol escape and go to the abanded twoleg place, they all start meeting them. Jayfeather figures out that they are leafpools kits and that crowfeather is their dad. During a gathering hollyleaf tells cats of all clans their secrets, much later after that hollyleaf dies because she ran inro the tunnels and it collasped. She ran in there because she was sad, mad mixed emotion acthully. Hoped you enjoyed my review!!!! THIS DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS!!!!!!! HOPE YOU AGREEE!!!!!!

This book is pretty good. Erin Hunter combined mystery, suspense, humor, and secrets to make a story truly centering around Hollyleaf. It was a stunning finale to the Power of Three series that uncovered surprises. A good read for sure. From, Hollyflower of Skyclan

Long long ago there was a clan called " Fireclan" ... "Mablepaw!" Gingerbranch yowled. " Where's my moss?" Mablepaw rushed in with moss in her jaws " There is nothing worst than a grumpy elder." Mablepaw thought shifting the moss into a nest form. When Mablepaw was done she spoted her littermates Hawkpaw and Oakpaw, she raced up to greet them. " I just had an amazing idea!" Hawkpaw moewed as Mablepaw joined them. " Why don't we catch the badger that ate our prey!" Mablepaw shook her head. "Hawkpaw, I want my warrior name just as bad as you but we can't just try to catch a badger." Oakpaw moewed. " Fine... we won't try we will catch it!" Hawkpaw's eyes lit up when he said that. "Don't be mouse-brain!" Oakpaw spat. " I'll go." Mablepaw moewed, both Oakpaw and Hawkpaw looked at her with wide eyes. " Are you sure you know what you two are doing?" Oakpaw asked. Hawkpaw nodded then ficked his tail telling me to come...

Hi this is Mistyfrost. My whole clan (oceanclan was killed by Bloodclan and only me and my kits survived. My mate Nightclaw was killed by Bloodclan warriors. I was deputy of Oceanclan and so I think that I would be a great and loyal warrior of the clan that takes me in. I'm good at hunting fish in lakes, oceans, and ponds, and also good at hunting in woodlands. I'm a sand colored she cat. I have three kits. Rosekit (orange flamed she- cat) Thunderkit ( Black and White tom) and Treekit ( dust colored tom with a dark brown line running across his spine). On my way escaping from Bloodclan I met Ravenfrost. He is a sleek black tom and is well at hunting in the woodlands. He is now also my mate. My little Treekit knows alot of the herbs and is ready to be a medicine cat apprentice. My other kits are ready to be warrior apprentices. If any clan is helpfull enough to take Me, Ravenfrost, Rosekit, Thunderkit, and Treekit in please let me know.
