    Sunset Point

The author has a unique writing style that I liked very much. I think this is his first book and I found it very entertaining. I liked the suspense which lead up to a twisted ending. It is a very good book for a 1st time writer. Recommended to my fellow Barnes & Noble readers!

Interesting writing style by this author. I became very interested in the 'SECRET' the grandfather (Captain Watson) had and was not let down when it was revealed. I also liked the ending. It is a short read but well worth the time. Looking for more from this author.

A short read, but well worth the time. Very thought out plot and the ending is worth waiting for. I liked the kid 'Juven'. He was just a boy who was thrown into a terrible war. I wish the book was longer. Over all, great story!

    Sunset Point

I am very pleased with Latham Doxey's new book Sunset Point. I have read many war stories and am very happy with his new book. It is an easy read and takes the reader throughout the world. From Sea Island Georgia to Japan I felt like I was on a journey in time. The book covers over 50 years of an old man's life and how he dealt with very difficult decisions. It was the war that brought the end to his life. He was not killed in the line of duty but his heart was. I recommend this book for anyone who wants an easy read and likes war stories!

I thought this book by C.L. Doxey was very fast paced and ended with a unique twist. I like the relationship with the young boy and his grandfather. This story could be turned into a great movie. Well Done!

    Amazing Accomplishment

I must start by stating I have a biased opinion. I have known Doxey for years and consider him among my closest friends. Regardless, I am proud of the literary effort and must say this was an easy read and hard to put down. Exciting twists and turns and a fabulous ending!

    Great Sea Island Book!!

After reading Latham Doxey's 'Sunset Point', I believe this book truly does Sea Island, Georgia justice. The wonderful story of a grandson's love for his grandfather could not be captured more perfectly. I really enjoyed the book and have recomended it to my friends on the island. Hope to see more from Doxey soon! Very good book!!

    A 'Gotta Read Book',

I enjoyed reading Doxey's 'Sunset Point.' I have never read a book from a 'self published' author. I also can't believe he is not on the best seller list. I hope he writes more very soon. My family really enjoyed this book. I have also added it to my book club reading list.

An easy to read book about a grandson telling a story about his grandfather during world war II. Doxey writes in a clear tone and there is not a dull moment in the entire book. He kept me on my toes and I could not put the book down. I highly recomend this book from a first time author. I can't belive a big publishing house has not picked him up yet. I hope he writes another book. I would buy it!!

A book which includes all the makings of a wonderful story. The love of a grandfather by a grandson. The secret the grandfather kept for over 50 years. The joy and sorrow of loss of life. The book looks at how men are joined almost like brothers in times of need, and some times their all you have. This book allows you to imagine the unimagineable, and see war in a new light. If you enjoy war stories I suggest you give this book a try. You won't be disappointed.
