    leather hyman outshines them all...

leather hyman is a band that i had the pleasure of meeting on halloween of '97. their unique style of alternative rock and a touch of acid/jazz make them unique and a pleasure to listen to. on this album, they dropped the more poppy upbeat tunes in favor of more musically diverse themes. the brightness is replaced with more pastel, greys, and browns. none the less, the actual tonal values and harmonies leave no space for boredom. the best songs on the album by far are ''maneuver'' and ojos amarillos. this is definitely an album for the intelligent music critic. a must for all music lovers. not fanatics.
