As I am currently considering the possibility of a super commuter arrangement between Chicago and New York, this book has become instrumental in my decision process. Megan has written a book that does a good job of explaining what couples and families need to consider before entering into such an arrangement. The author has instant credibility since her husband also travels to New York on a weekly basis, and many examples are of course personal. She's realistic and measured in her approach, and to her credit she doesn't sugar-coat the issues. You'll read about several cases where couples were successful in maintaining this lifestyle, and some cases where they did not succeed. There were many family scenarios listed (married couples, unmarried couples, same sex couples, etc) so there are examples to which almost everyone can relate. Further, there is a great list of enlightening questions at the end of the book that you and your significant other can work on together to make sure it's the right thing for you. This book is as unique as the super commuter arrangement, and certainly I was very happy to find it since it helped my family better understand the important issues before I accept the job in New York. Was this review helpful?
