All Music Guide - Charlotte Dillon
Country singer David Ball was born in South Carolina. While still in school he learned to play the guitar, tried his hand at songwriting, started his own band, and began performing regularly. All are songs that Ball either wrote or co-wrote. David Ball's music is country, even honky tonk and touching ballads, but many of his tunes are full of rock and pop flavor, paced out with snare drums and electric guitar. The mixture has been a successful one and gives him a chance to reach country music lovers from different generations.
