School Library JournalK-Gr 3—The town of Punctuation Junction is filled with punctuation marks doing their jobs and getting along-except for when they don't. What happens when all the apostrophes float away, or the parentheses decide to add too much information to everyday objects, or the colons go missing? The superhero punctuation marks are called in to save the day, of course. This series stars not only marks such as commas, periods, question marks, and exclamation points, but also the more exotic colons and parentheses. Readers can test their punctuation knowledge at the end of the book with an activity. More information about the punctuation mark can be found at the back of the book. These introductions are not as well done as many extant grammar books, but they may draw in some children with the superhero theme.
